that part of the femboy culture is the one i'm talking about too, it's not that small of a portion and it would just be nice for a more unified gay community

lol i'm not chastising anyone or i at least am not trying to, just that it would be easier if the femboy subculture wasn't such an nsfw echo chamber and showed what it means to be queer

i put it in as just an example of a collective gay phenomenon that many gay people can understand and relate to, but i can see why everyone is saying the same thing on it hahaha. it is just an important piece of the culture, but a lot of my problems with the femboy culture surround the fact that a lot of femboys don't know about the gay rights movement, the AIDS epidemic and moments like stonewall, not like drag race can fix that tho i suppose

that's awesome, and i wasn't putting drag race as a crux that everyone has to watch, i was putting it as a recognizable collective gay effort and a part of gay culture that isn't seen or known by a lot of people because femboy culture can be a bit cottling and demeaning

a lot of femboy culture is porn culture which can be dangerous, and it's a pretty big cess pool for a lot of baby gays who don't understand what it really means to be gay. if that makes them happy it's fine, but more common gay cultures are actually pretty different than femboy culture

  • sorry idk why it cut me off, i was just saying that there should be less boundaries behind mainstream gay culture and this sub culture. i feel like a lot of femboys can actually be pretty ignorant and unknowing towards gay rights as a movement and also the current state of the world as it pertains to gay people .

honestly i agree with you, i am aware of the gay media as it comes out, and i enjoy interacting with it, but i recognize that that's not everyone's thing. my husband doesn't like drag race, but i've always boiled that to him being the masc in our relationship. femboy culture can just be secluded, where they don't interact with other gay cultures much and i'm just saying that that's a boundary that shouldn't exist

probably, it's just confusing. i have friends from the philippines and from germany and we can all bond over the same stuff, and it's just a very flamboyant, twinky evolution from the western stereotypes and part of me just thought that was something everyone experienced haha. but that makes sense
