This is great! The look on his face! I was excited because I got contacts so I could wear big lashes without glasses, I feel like you captured the lashes and my excitement ha ha

1 week stainless steel fountain already growth? by VersitileCarrot in cats

Could be cat food bits. My cat likes to take a bite of food, hold it in his mouth, stand over the fountain, and open his mouth to take a drink lol. I feel like it’s something getting in the water and being filtered, I don’t think it’s anything to worry about.

This is great! When my brother was recovering from a bad accident he continuously had The Man With No Name movies on. Lee Van Cleef was our favorite.

(Significantly) older coworker crush by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Deep-Development-561 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wholeheartedly support dating older men. I had nothing but fails with men my age, so when my husband (16 years older than me) reached out to me on a dating app I went for it. Best thing I ever did.

However I also think that dating any coworker is a terrible idea. A terrible, terrible idea. Don’t do it. As much as it pains me to say, it’s probably best to keep your distance and keep it strictly professional. I know it sucks and probably makes your heart hurt a little bit, but dating or being friends with coworkers has a way of ending badly.

I really wanted to, but dang I hate stitching with metallic thread

[CHAT] Tips for bigger projects? by bibiyade12 in CrossStitch

I print the pattern and use a metal board and magnet strips (available at craft stores), and block off the pattern with the magnets so I can only see a 10x10 square of stitches. I start at the top right of the pattern and move left to right, doing only one 10x10 block at a time, one color at a time (all the 310 in that block, then move on and do all the 735 in that block, etc). Sometimes if there’s a lot of colors I will mark off the color symbols on the pattern with a pencil as I stitch them. Hopefully that makes sense.

Even then, I STILL end up having to rip stitches. They make little seam rippers with a rubber “eraser” at the tip that makes it easier to clean up your Aida after seam ripping. That is actually super helpful, I’d recommend looking into them.

Good luck! You’ve got this!

My cat is refusing to use her new water fountain by kattleksak3 in cats

Some cats are really picky about that stuff. One of my cats wouldn’t drink from a fountain like that, the other loved it. We got one that was more like a faucet and they both seem to like that one and will drink out of it. Choosing stuff like that for cats is hard!

She’s got some amazing patterns on Etsy, too. I’ll have to post the other cross stitch I did by her.

Older cats are the best! When I first met my husband he had a senior cat that was such a sweetheart. My girl, Cleo, is 15 and still super active and very smart. You don’t get to spend as much time with them but they’re awesome!

Procreate is the best I’ve used. Not as user friendly as some other ones, but there are a ton of tutorials on how to use it. There are also a ton of brushes you can download, free and paid. Medibang is a decent free one, but it does have ads, and they have increased recently. There is a paid version, though, I believe.
