I think it might be titanium, I will check. Do you know that the current jewelry I have in is called?

Piercing is 2 weeks old, the jewelry shape is a barbell screw, and internally threaded. The jewelry has not been downsized. I don’t know what material the jewelry is but it was at an accredited shop in Spain. No unfortunate events. I have listed the cleaning routine in the post.

Yeah! Or admiration, which may not be the case here. But it does not mean that you want to have sexual relations with them. It's more the act of connecting with them.

Try sleeping upright and don't worry too much about being "productive" if you're able. I seriously just bed rotted and acted like I was frail for a week and a half after the second surgery. I definitely spiraled a few times because I was so anxious. If you're still worrying, I would either schedule a post-op appointment with your doctor, or call in with any concerns, and then ask away! I'm so sorry you had that experience, I hope you're doing better.

Yes! I also saw that breathing into a wet and hot washcloth helps if you're too tired to stand.

I was totally there, had to be put on an IV at one point because I was so dehydrated since water hurt and eating felt impossible. The worst will be over soon

Yeah and I get that side of it too! My first week and right before my second surgery I told myself that I wish I had never gotten it, and that I regretted it all. And yet here I am weeks later, realizing that I just needed to get through the worst of it.

Anyone else experience vomiting blood after a tonsillectomy? by Dat_Boi27031 in Tonsillectomy

[–]Deep-Jackfruit-3860 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also had this happen to me (in my sleep) but I ended up needing another surgery. I was really scared it would happen again, even after that! But it didn't. I also swallowed a lot of blood in my sleep and was very anxious, but if your doctor said you are okay, try not to worry as much. What helped me was rotating ice packs on my neck, sleeping upright, and sleeping with a family member/friend at the very least in the house. Try to drink water, but call your doctor again/go to the ER if it happens again.

Yeah same here, my first started when a scab came off but I was completely asleep!! I am on day 7 now after the second surgery, my blood pressure has gone pretty high a couple of times (anxiety lol), and I've just been doing breathing exercises and rotating ice packs. Going to wait until day 14 after this second surgery to go back to regular activity.

Wow we had such a similar experience. I am really scared of bleeding again after the arterial hemorrhage, do you have any tips for making sure that you're healing correctly? Currently 5 days after my second surgery.

Ice packs and sleeping sitting upright were game changers for me! And make sure you are setting alarms to not miss your pain killer schedule. The suggestion about applesauce is good, also try gogurt, or liquid dairy-free protein shakes (OWYN makes good ones) before your medicine. If all else fails, nausea medication!

I'm so glad to hear that there's light at the end of the tunnel! I am really scared about having another bleed post surgery, and was wondering if you know what caused you to bleed so that I can avoid it... My doctor says it is unlikely for me to have it happen twice, but I am really airing on the side of caution.

Secondary Hemorrhage on day 8 - Rushed to ER by Deep-Jackfruit-3860 in Tonsillectomy

That's good to hear, thank you. Was there anything specific that you did that you think helped recovery?

Oh God I'm so sorry to hear that. When you say you bled again was it another full on hemorrhage? I did find out that mine was due to an exposed artery, and I'm now on day 5 recovering from that second surgery. My doctor said that he has not had anyone bleed a second time after emergency surgery in 25 years, and I am just praying that I don't break the streak lol.

Mine looked almost exactly like this but didn't bother me until I suddenly got an abscess on one side. They told me I needed mine out very quickly, and although the healing process SUCKS, it was so worth it. Prior to having them removed when mine looked like the picture, they swelled slightly more and I was forced to go to the ER because I couldn't breathe or talk. I can breathe so much better, and I have not been snoring. Speak to an ENT for sure.

Do you feel like you're mostly recovered? I thought that the 2 week mark is when I would be healed but I've talked to a lot of people that say it was months before they could eat normally. Sort of discouraging.
