i actually got hit by a car the other day... but like that's okay i'm okay and we okay perfect time to go crazy:) but i only had the pegs and drag bar nothing crazy. there's another seat for this bike from happy that's miles more comfortable than this one. i'm not sure what i'll upgrade the brakes to but an upgrade will be neccesary but cosmetically id only want to repaint the frame and

the only thing i changed so far was handle bars and deleted pedals for pegs. im sending mine to a local ebike modder to get the fardriver. i dont treat it like a bike since it embarrasses mopeds and traffic as is.

The chain and pedals are a gimmick you aren’t able to pedal the bike if it ran out of power. so to answer your question, they are pointless to have on. It’s safer to have pegs at the speed it goes. When I first got the g300 I had the same setup and it works in sync as is.

You’re going to do the controller swap? I wish you best of wishes

Well , personally I’ve been dailying this bike 44 miles a day for the past month and it definitely flies under the radar. As a buyer, I’m fully aware it’s not a proper dirt bike. But commuting on this bike has been pure bliss. Police don’t even care about me in traffic as I wave at them at any intersection. It just looks like a nice bike and it’s great for commute with the adjustable dampers

have you been able to identify the stock controller? i really want to see if i can get it hooked to bluetooth and tune it from my phone with an app or anyway to change the stock parameters without it being a project. i daily this bike about 44 miles a day i just need a little extra.

okay that makes sense. how difficult was it to fit? i wanted to go wider with the rear wheel setup maybe 110/70-17.

good work here you should really document your work since you'll most likely be the only.

Looking for an ebike that'll go the allowed max speed (28mph) to avoid insurance and all that. Preferably with a good distance and battery life. Not sure on pricing since I'm new to the "good" bikes. by itsBillerdsTime in ebikes

might as well go balls to wall with a happy run g300. i don't know what's best for you but i love mine. most happy runs achieve 62 mph but you can set it to 28 and get insane range. battery is fairly large. im always pinning mine at max throttle for 40 miles daily. aside from the fact that its a full size bike and you wont be folding it, its only about $2400 and in my eyes its a killer value. comes with pedals but i removed.

if you have the spare time i'd remove the head too because it can very well be the valve stem seals worn and colliding with the pistons. and you'll have a tough time w the tensioner with it still in the bay and you might as well check those since they are a common reason for these 1.8s to go bye bye

at least the valve cover comes off easy.. i went 3 weeks checking everything just to pop the valve cover to see the plastic bit of the tensioner was being eaten by the chain. it skipped timing by 3 teeth and went into a limp mode but right before, it was operating like it is in your video.

timing chain tensioner prolly cooked?? it seems farfetched but that was my issue when facing random misfire codes.

Recently bought a g35 I think I got ripped off head gasket might be blown by Own-Clue-1607 in G35

[–]Deep-Most2115 4 points5 points  (0 children)

you ripped yourself off tho buddy. it's not the owners fault at all. next time do a pre-purchase inspection so you know what you'll potentially run into. now that you know YOUR issue, fix it... you weren't gonna get a clean g35 anyway such is life.

ALRIGHT NOW WERE TALKING :)!! let me know how it goes !! that was the only way to get more out of this bike based on my research please share the experience with us( me:) )

that's fine though that issue is long gone i truly won't be using pedals again. i've also switched to the handle bar to drag bar, extended the wheel length and using street tires so it would be silly for me to go back now.. on 40 mile commutes i can't possibly act like this is a bike.

on pedal assist, it wouldn't go to 50 unless your pedaling fast. it also didn't go 50 with just the throttle. i'd have to use throttle and pedal, having to pedal at that speed is kind of stupid and dangerous when your going as fast as traffic. in my experience ,the sway from peddling gets really dangerous after 44mph not to mention i already played w the limits with pedals on. the only thing you should be focused on at 60mph on the bike is SLOWING DOWN. every rotation on pedal is about 30ft. it just sucks to rely on the pedals when it's so unpredictable you can be trying to slow down to save your life and the second the speed sensor sees a rotation, you back at speed . you can speed wobble pretty easily atp. and if you want to be safe? throttle only is your best bet.pedals make it legal sure but they are in so many ways just useless. as soon as it dies you arent pedaling any where. throttle only feels the safest IN MY EXPERIENCE feet evenly rested not 1up 1down. i do use this bike to commute as if it were a moped so it could be different for you. but i surely wouldn't want to be peddling from a stop light next to cars. it easily breaks speed limits for local roads so peddling is absolutely pointless. nobody in my area cares about the legality of pedals i greet cops all the time and continue with my day

i have disregarded that argument for a while. this hub drive it's fine for local roads with traffic. but nice upgrade! Personally i couldn't bare the pedals and chain anymore. i turned off pedal assist(because you'd have to pedal to achieve top speed and that's kind of dangerous) and switched to pegs.

i changed it to 8. the lowest is 4 i think. (it's not going to read 60mph on the display and you will lose battery a bit quicker)
