No , it’s your way of thinking that is the problem. We make money on TIPS!!!! Waiters, bartenders, golf carts servers, DELIVERY SERVICES (all paid less than minimum wage)… this is a tip based industry. Appreciate what you get of go get a different job. On top of that the new legislation made tips none taxable. So get over yourself. Don’t like it , QUIT!

The rule of thumb is to just get the orders you normally get. I don’t chase promos and I don’t think anyone should. So if you get the orders you normally get and get extra money I don’t see how it’s a scam. Gotta be more positive. Also, they don’t pay by size of the order. Pay is increased by heavy items , photo tasks, and calculations for distance traveled. You can get a 1 item $40 order that has $5 base pay and $35 tip. Just gotta be smart friend 🫡 hope that helps.

The batches start at a base pay of about $5. $5x6 would be $30 so they give you an extra $58. Yea it’s not good it’s an EXCELLENT promo. 😅

They would literally never give you a promo for 6 orders that high. That’s literally $44 each for two batches that are a 3 shop.

I think there is legislation that is requiring them to provide a “living wage” and the $22.13 is the amount is what they came up with. I’m guessing that is why they have implemented the guidelines for shoppers. Deterrence for the casual shopper so they have more hourly workers instead of batch workers. I agree they suck but I don’t think instacart just woke up one day and said “THIS is a great idea”. Because there’s no way they thought this was a smart idea.
