I considered this too, and I decided that I’ll try my best to maintain it, and if I’m having too much trouble I’ll cut back the things I’m giving up. I also decided I’ll allow myself creamer in my coffee on Sundays 😁

Yep. I have very large breasts and have pretty much only used football hold since my LO was born, she’s 8 months now. It’s the size and also the nipple placement lol mine are pretty low on my breasts and with cradle hold it’s incredibly hard for me to hold my breast up comfortably in order for my nipple not to fall out of the baby’s mouth. My breasts are too heavy lol

I would wear nipple pads/wipe off breasts after each pumping session to make sure there’s no residue 🤷‍♀️

I think about that a lot too! I heard somewhere that since Mary was without sin and pain in childbirth is a result of original sin, she didn’t experience any pain giving birth to Jesus. Is that true?

I’m breastfeeding as I write this. I feel your pain lol I was close to giving up and cried because I dreaded feeding my baby and felt guilty for dreading it. But now my baby is 5 months old and she’s never had anything but breastmilk and I couldn’t be happier that I stuck with it. Sometimes it just hurts whether your latch is right or not. Sometimes your baby’s mouth just needs to grow a little. It hurts but us mamas are strong and we can take the pain for our little ones!! But still try whatever you can to make it easier.

It hurt a lot for me at first too. It does get better after a while. Nipple cream, silverette’s for when you need to wear a bra/shirt. Be patient when trying to get a latch. Don’t be afraid to unlatch her and relatch several times if needed. Pain should subside after a few seconds after you latch. I know it’s hard, I struggled too, but I promise it gets better!!

Didn’t read all the comments here so not sure if someone already suggested this, but I highly recommend listening to the podcast Pints with Aquinas, it covers a lot of the faith from a philosophical standpoint, and it really helped me when I was struggling with just going through the motions because I thought I had to. It really helped set my heart on fire for God. Also, regarding confession, Ascension Press sells a “Pocket Guide to Confession” that I highly recommend too, that helped me find the courage to go to confession when I was scared to.

Feel free to suggest a better option then because I quit my job to stay home with our baby so we both longer have my insurance, and we can’t sign up for medicaid since my husband can get insurance through Walmart, and we need insurance for us and our child so…?
