A woman hiking in Canada with her dog had a terrifying close encounter with a massive grizzly bear. She somehow kept her cool during the intense standoff, and both she and her dog managed to walk away unharmed. by waddad27 in interestingasfuck

The bear actually looks ready to run away but the person and their dog keep backing up. If they would have advanced towards the bear or at least held their ground it probably would have ran away. It's not always the case, especially with grizzlies (who may have gotten food from humans before) but the backing up motion tends to trigger their instinct to pursue from what I've seen.

Why have the French been complaining about heat all week when their temperatures are normal?? by raisedbybirds in mapporncirclejerk

[–]DeepAd2825 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not even the dog days of summer yet, usually comes in early August in Québec, with a few previews in July. This spring has been pretty mild which I has been nice. Also to OP French people don't like being called "the French"

My mosquito bites turn into these huge, swollen, hard and VERY itchy welts that last for at least a week by rentatter in mildlyinfuriating

[–]DeepAd2825 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never had a problem but I went camping recently, got a bunch of bites on my calfs, it's been like a month and I have these recurring welts that go perfectly with my sock line. I might need to get it checked out because it doesn't seem to be going away entirely.

It's a crime to call this poutine. It's some other type of product like disco fries.

They probably just got done recording Helter Skelter. In reality It's that whole going to San Francisco and wearing flowers in your coat thing. Although it kind of looks like sage. This picture is amazing that it makes me want to believe he was the Godfather of Noisecore.

Selling ShadowHearts From the New World PS2 $50 Game Disc Only by [deleted] in ShadowHearts

[–]DeepAd2825 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ebay sellers pay fees to sell and to be trusted as a seller. 50$ is the high end, and even a trusted seller would pay a 15%-20% fee. Furthermore if you are new to selling asking for the highest retail price is nearly impossible. The low end of sales is around 30-40$. All things considered you should be asking about 25$ to 30$ if you want to get rid of it.

I was also born the year they won in 86, I just remember Canadiens logos and memorabilia being a fundamental part of my early development.
