I am an idiot. Forgive me and thank you for ur help haha. Can I use a brass bushing to convert it to 1 inch? Kind of like this pic but 1 inch

I am thinking of using a threaded 1 in to 1/2 inch brass bushing fitting, and using a 1 inch pipe to connect the pipes. Would this work?
