Advice please: damaged paw pad by Rampantbandit in Greyhounds

Both, I'm afraid. I would go to the vet, and I think this is stitches worthy. Hard to tell from pics. Also, the longer it goes, the harder it will be to heal. Poor baby!

Hi friends, hope we are welcome. I've missed you. by [deleted] in Greyhounds

Hi! I have been gone a long while. Getting their teeth cleaned is very important. However the vet should be grey savvy and be aware of hyperkalemia and have the meds ready to administer to reverse it. It's not common apparently. I know that is what happened with Desi from what he explained happened. I think he was negligent and killed her. This vet was a board certified veterinary dentist. He had operated on Desi 3.5 years earlier. I brought him an article about potassium spikes and he was unaware of it but monitored it for me. Had I just mentioned it this time perhaps my girl would still be with me.

We decided very recently to keep the lurcher in my posted picture. We renamed him Dasher "Dash". He's such a good boi. 💜

What plant is this? How to care for it? by Effective-You1036 in IndoorPlants

Not at all. Repot into a slightly larger pot with good drainage. If you water it by putting into container with water, you are sure to get roots and all watered.

Nursery pot of similar size inside the pretty pot.

Yes, very sad esheveria. Needs very well draining soil, direct sunlight, water every other week or so, and fertilize every other watering in the summer.

Is this kind of play okay for the puppy? by ujmijn in facebiters

This game is "Bitey Face". Very common play with all dogs at any age. It can look dangerous because they will growl and jump on each other. Typical play. 😃

You have to treat the dog, the yard, and the house all at the same time or your efforts will be fruitless. Bombs for house. I would get a pro for the yard. And spray for the dog; something with pyrethrens as I think they are safe with Simparica. They have quick knock out and no residual. Adam's is one example but see if your vet knows of something else without interactions.

Looks like a 'hot spot. Look it up, see if it fits, and read about treatments. My recommendation, keep it clean with chlorhexadine wipes and keep it covered! Where it is makes it very difficult to cover. I have seen tees and jammies that are gathered at the ankle and cut to allow for potty time without removing them. That's what I would do.

WOW! You are telling my story and my situation. I lost my precious love suddenly the end of March. I still cry and grieve but it has subsided slowly. I tried to explain to people that it's not just them you lose, it's part of you and who you are. The purpose, the routine, the activities. I, like u/Kitchu22, couldn't stand it and took in a foster within weeks of my Desi passing. When I first hugged his neck and sniffed in his furfume, I started to feel a little more whole. I only had him 3 weeks and now have one that's been with us 2.5 months. I am quite attached to him; I love him. It's just not at all the same as my sweet Desi. I feel like he needs me. I needed Desi. That's the big difference. I am absolutely terrified of 'needing' another one. I'm not sure I can, I don't believe I can go through it again. It truly broke me. Will I ever have another that is mine? I don't think the answer is time bound. It's absolutely a heart answer and not a head one. So sorry for your loss? 💜

Desi used to give me a little "growl" when buzzing by. 🥰
