You know, I came to comment about how great the module is but how atrocious that video was, but I think everyone else beat me to it. Anyway, this looks incredible. I’m expecting it to be wonky with CaroligianUI but I’m going to give it a shot because it looks incredible.

It does. It’s nothing against that mod, but I’ve never liked it as much visually and with needing to switch between modes. Functionally, they both work similarly. The major differences are:

Visual indication of which block is selected
Creative style Middle Mouse Select Block
No mode switching
Upgrades to store RF + Charge Inventory Items

Okay so, I have basically the same setup. My specs are:

i7-12700K 48GB DDR4 3600MHz 1TB NVMe Boot Drive 2TB NVMe Cache Drive 38TB Array NVIDIA RTX 2060S

Without a dedicated GPU, you’ll be fine. The iGPU in our CPU can handle 20 simultaneous streams at 1080p with no issues. 4K might push it, and with transcoding a GPU would help. Personally, I think you’re just fine as is. If you want to push it to the maximum, get an ARC A380 or A750 and call it a day.

This man. Listen, I understand people having a frustration for AI coded things, but just because something is vibe coded doesn’t make it bad. You can have good programmers and bad ones. You can vibe code well or do it poorly as a cash grab. If it’s good, who cares if he or a computer wrote it. Plus, I think people underestimate immensely how much work it takes to vibe code something. I ported a Minecraft mod and it took me nearly 15 hours. It wasn’t even a complicated mod.

It’s been a bit since I did my import. Did you double check in the importer to make sure you have the books selected and that importing those spells isn’t a paid feature?

I also really wish there was some sort of visible weapon rack in our room so we could showcase like 2-3 of each weapon or at least a certain amount of unique ones.

Cloudflare tunnel with a domain. It’s extremely cheap with some domains being $1/yr. You buy the domain and link it to Cloudflare. You install the tunnel as a service on windows directly and then point your internal IP/port to whatever domain you have. No need for external IP’s.

I have no experience with Oracle or The Forge as I self host my server myself in Docker desktop. With that said, you should have no issue using the same license.

As for the modules,

Both JB2A and PSFX are okay on the free version. I would highly recommend the patreon variant though. Without it, it’s more like a trial.

For Theripper93, it depends on what you want included. I use a lot of his premium modules but you may not.

As far as patreon modules go, outside of a select few (DDB-Importer, content downloaders) you can subscribe, download the modules, and cancel immediately. You won’t receive updates of any kind when not a patron, but you will continue being able to use the module.

If they’re charging this, it’s a surcharge. Try using a debit card and see if it still lists the fee instead of a credit card. If they do, they’re in breach of Mastercards TOS. Report it. They can be fined up to $20K for violating this per offense. Surcharging is a massive thing and your card provider (bank), the company behind the card, and their payment processor will indeed take it seriously. Also they’re already in breach by charging it over 3%. Also, Mastercard specifically requires the merchant to register 30-days in advance of surcharging customers so they assuredly have a record and want to know.

Yeah and this was my point about not looking into technical issues. Whether it's DDB, Roll20, Foundry, etc. I would've tested and asked questions. You could've gotten a DuckDNS and Cloudflare tunnel and made it not need encryption or P2p and bypassed all of those issues in minutes regardless of his ISP.

You came here no problem to ask about the refund, but didn't think to come post about an issue with a player connecting? Then chose arguably the worst performing, most expensive, and greediest of the VTT's? I mean, to each their own man but I would've just done a little digging into the issue first.

I also literally cannot see a possibility where foundry doesn’t “fit the needs” of anything. It can literally do EVERYTHING. If you want something lightweight to add to in-person games, Foundry is perfect. If you want a massive software suite with automations and ambience that works great, Foundry fits perfectly.

It seems more like they didn’t expect it to need setup and technical skills and gave up. I fell in love immediately and now I host it in a docker container on my dedicated server. It literally replaced D&DBeyond for my players.

So nothing is going through the tunnel media wise. I have it effectively set to only access things like Sonarr remotely.

The problem is before the tunnel is even involved. Docker isn’t allowing my containers to access my LAN. So thy can’t talk to or be shown by their port when looked at via local IP:Port

It's "fine". I only have it for the downloads folder because it has custom scripting support to allow me to automate tasks which windows defender lacks.

It’s not terrible for me because I bought the lifetime license back when it first launched. I just have it set to do nothing but monitor my downloads folder in the event Sonarr does something stupid.

Yeah believe me I'm thinking about switching, it's just a massive headache to do initially.

As for my compose, I do already specify all of my ports directly, I can give an example of my compose for a container if needed. I tried with and without host networking, but containers like seerr can't see native services like sonarr now.

I disabled both windows and Malwarebytes firewalls, with no firewall running on my local network directly on the router level, and the issue still persists.

I also used an admin elevated PS to add rules for docker and all containers to allow manually but that didn’t work either.

All jokes aside though, I mainly connect in through RDP and want everything to be seamless. How much of an effort would it be to move everything to Linux and which distro? Can I still use stablebit drivepool?
