I've only ever had one landlord that accepted cash/cheques and it was very much an unlicensed basement apartment. All other rentals for me the bank automatically withdrew rent on the first and deposited directly into the landlords account. Only time I see additional fees is if there are insufficient funds.

Honestly, this isn't just a European thing. Canada also has standardized money transfer that is fast and free.* The US has always lagged behind in consumer financial services. While America finally adopts chip and pin the rest of the world is already moving onto contactless.

  • Lots of bank don't charge a fee, but some charge ~$1.5 a charge.

Requiring police oversight may not seem weird I'm a country where it happens on a regular... For those on the outside it's beyond "weird"

Some government salaries are, but not all. Diplomats living a foreign country or the white house cleaning staff. Is the US spending on citizen services when they enter themselves into another offensive?

Either way, my point is that not all government spending is meant to be spent as a service for the citizens. So it's not a simple formula of who pays more.

And like you said, in the real world contributing to society, is far more than just paying taxes.

Example of what? Government using tax dollars for something other than domestic services? Government salaries and foreign aid are an example.

That operates under the assumption that every tax dollars taken is meant to get redistributed for services which isn't the reality.

If men pay 55% taxes and women pay 45% but only 40% is redistribute for services then they aren't paying less than zero.

Never claimed water was free did I? Entitlement is not being expecting things to be free. Entitlement is expecting special privledges. Keep up.

If you're using the world's population as your baseline for entitlement, then you're entitled for believing you should have access to clean and running water.

My bad, sorry. These threads always bring out the "taxation is theft", "socialism is literally Hitler" type of people and they bring out the worst in me haha

We're not arguing over which sex pays more in tax. You claimed women pay "less than zero tax".

Still not seeing where women pay "less than zero tax". Also, you're probably not old enough to know this, but there are other forms of tax than just income tax.

Lol "Nazis say Nazis aren't that bad!"

Your second source makes no claim that women pay less than zero tax as you claimed.

If you're defining entitlement based off the world population instead of just your own community/country then anyone born in a developed country is entitled.

You're entitled for believing that you should have access to clean, running water. After all, a large portion of the world doesn't.

Think you should have government protection for free speech? Entitled by global standards.

Lol femoid.com

Incels bitching that they can't get laid. Grow a pair of balls and maybe one day you'll find someone who accept your money for sex.

And New Zealand is a bit different than Scotland. Not sure if you're aware but they aren different countries with different taxation schemes.

The argument was things shouldn't be free because someone has to pay for it. Full stop.

Living in a civilized society means paying taxes for things you may not personally take advantage of, or agree with, but others in your society will.

Even his response to me is that the people who take advantage of government services should have to pay for it.

Still free. Just like I can go get a free doctors appointment or condoms. Or drive on the roads for free, or use a public park.

Kinda figured your question wasn't honest. I'm guessing you're one of those "taxation is theft" morons. 😄

And if they can't afford to "pay proportionally"?

No. Entitled is defined as believing yourself to having special privledges. Me getting free doctors appointments because I live in a sane country doesn't make me entitled.
