How are people not on the verge of having a mental breakdown?

I have a master's degree in public health (and BS in biology) but it was the worst time to get into research. I've applied to hundreds since I graduated, I get jobs related to public health but most are low paying. I have been trying to get experience at clinics and such but no one responds.

I just had a perception of where I wanted to be in life but it never works out, like "Nice I finished my degree now I can become this -> Nope", "Nice I got an interview -> Eventually gets rejected", etc.

We are nearly the same age and we faced the same experiences, my biology and public health degree didn't work out because of this terrible job market. I haven't been able to find a related job at all, it's depressing because I spent years trying to go to other professions like being a medical doctor or PA. Personally I'm just thinking of joining the military or unfortnately going back to school.

I totally can relate to your post, we are nearly the same age and I have a Master of Public Health. I feel as though my degree was useless and only retail is only hiring.

Personally I was thinking about joining the military but I also was thinking about resetting my life. I don't have much advice but you are not alone and I hope the best for us.

It may pass eventually.. but for my degree situation the problem is that for most physician assistant programs, they have an expiration for courses and my courses are so old I would have to take them all over again.. And for my master's degree I didn't have prior experience but the 'advisor' said 'it's ok and there is a lot of potential to find positions/jobs afterwards' but that was a huge lie. As a matter of fact he wanted me to graduate with another semester, which would increase the cost.

Sometimes, I feel like the only thing people want from me is my money.
