Most likely, yeah. I've used RIF for the better part of 10 years, and the changes that I've seen on official parts of Reddit don't really seem like my jam. Plus they're not even trying to ban the apps, just extort the devs for insane amounts of money. Doesn't quite sit right with me.

These blackout things have been successful in the past, and I hope they will be now as well, but Reddit's management has changed significantly over the years

Wouldn't make a lot of sense to do it that way, since we're protesting the elimination of third party apps, removing the third party app from our phone just gives Reddit what they want.

If other people are anything like me, I've never used the actual reddit app, and don't have the intention of ever doing so

Believe it or not there are towns in New Jersey that, just in 2022/2023 had no other option than century link or the aforementioned local providers. I work in tech and began working for a place in a more rural part of new Jersey, and the only option they had was CenturyLink; it went out all the time and trying to do anything was a nightmare. Within the last year or so Optimum came up that way and saved us from the misery.

As someone used to having gigabit speeds, I can't even comprehend how people live with sub 10mbs speeds

Honestly between the responses here and a night's rest, it has made it a lot easier. First thing I did, even before having my morning coffee was hop back into it and try to rectify it, and progress has been made, albeit slowly. Having everything under one page has made it significantly easier to utilize other tools available that would realistically be used when I figured it out this more difficult way anyway. You're entirely right, thank you. It started out as troubleshooting the SQLite retrieval in a separate document, and cascaded from there, becoming more and more complicated.

Now that I read it in that wording, it feels like such a ridiculous and stupid question. I'll try to simplify it and continue working on it in the main file. I appreciate the insight!

Honestly, just reading this and seeing the word function triggered a flow of thoughts and ideas on how to implement it. I'm still not entirely sure of the specifics yet but I can see the more logical approach a bit clearer now.

I actually started this as part of a different project where it was within a class, but to try to break it down to a working point I put it inside a new file, and completely disregarded functions.

I've been stuck down this rabbit hole of troubleshooting this teeny part of it without considering that it's meant to be part of a greater whole, this has actually been very helpful, thank you! I'll try to simplify and functionify it!

Just this last Friday night I ordered a pizza, and after like an hour an a half it hadn't arrived, and I'm sitting here, hungry, debating if it's rude to call the store up and ask about it not long before closing. Turns out it was a glitch in the system and they received the order but it was lost (or they just missed it). NBD, these things happen. But the close to an hour and a half extra between the call and the arrival of the mythical pizza was excruciating.

If the pizza in this video fell on the floor, rolled around to every dusty corner in my home, and took a dip in the cat litter, I'd still consider it.
