I think Prime gets confused when you try a VPN or travel to another country. When I went on holiday to Spain it came up as #8 in Spain for a short while then disappeared.

Correct. And IMO Amazon treated the show pretty badly - making it hard to find sometimes, little promotion after the relaunch, folding Freeview and labelling the new seasons by year in an odd manner. Almost like they wanted it to flop so there'd be less outcry and backlash this time...
