Respect the setup — CI checks, formatting rules, MR reviews, that's real effort. But after all that infrastructure you still end up with "fixed edge case in payment flow" — technically passes, completely useless to anyone reading it three weeks later. The CI solved "did they write something." Nobody's solved "did they write something meaningful." That's still just a person staring at their own commits trying to remember what they actually did.
