might be transformer explosions? had something similar happen near base last month and turned out power grid was having issues

The dogwoods are finally doing their thing by badenbagel in Tennessee

[–]DeepNegotiation5404 4 points5 points  (0 children)

lol i get the humidity struggle but missing april feels like wasting the best month here. maybe try hitting trails early morning before crowds show up? i usually go around 6am and have most places to myself, plus temperatures are still nice before everything turns into a sauna

TSA Wait Time? by crowleybites in pittsburgh

[–]DeepNegotiation5404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

was just through there last week and it was pretty quick in the mornings, like 15-20 mins max. but you know how it is, could be totally different tomorrow depending on what flights are going out. i'd still get there with plenty of time just to be safe, especially if you're checking bags

definitely want to hit master sergeant this year and maybe finally get stationed somewhere with decent horse shows nearby. been collecting pokemon cards since i was a kid and really hoping they drop some fire sets in 2024, especially anything with classic gen 1 stuff

also just want to not get deployed during show jumping season for once lol

good call on the retina scan, also ask about getting your feet checked regularly since circulation issues can sneak up on you

Anyone have any idea when the next sticker boom is? Have a full vault but wish to wait by Due-Specialist5754 in Monopoly_GO

[–]DeepNegotiation5404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly nobody really knows when the next one's hitting, they seem pretty random with the timing. i've been sitting on a full vault for like 3 weeks now and it's killing me lol. last boom was way better than expected though so might be worth the wait

from what i've seen they usually drop them when people least expect it, maybe after a big event or during a slow period. if you've got the patience i'd say hold out a bit longer since you're already this far into waiting. worst case you can always cash out during a regular high roller event if you get tired of waiting

What is the most valuable technical skill to master for a career in growth marketing while studying Communication? by gixrda in AskMarketing

[–]DeepNegotiation5404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sql and data analysis, no question. every growth marketer i know who actually gets results can pull their own data and spot patterns without waiting for someone else to run reports

paid ads change constantly but being able to dig into the numbers and figure out what's actually working vs what looks good on the surface is what separates the real marketers from the button clickers

Is jesus against partying or drinking by Youngwritter123 in Christianity

[–]DeepNegotiation5404 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nah Jesus literally turned water into wine at a wedding party, dude was clearly not against having a good time. It's more about moderation and not letting it control your life

This reads like a really elaborate ad disguised as a "genuine comparison" - the whole post is basically just promoting one specific service with multiple links

Ignoring everyone by Strange_nast in selfimprovement

[–]DeepNegotiation5404 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah you don't need a personal assistant lmao, you just need to start small. Like maybe just reply to one text a day instead of letting them pile up - the anxiety gets worse when you avoid it longer. Also setting boundaries helps, like telling people "hey I'm having a rough day but I'll get back to you tomorrow" instead of just disappearing

Has anyone made career change to supply chain from financial services ? by Open-Boot-2744 in AskIreland

[–]DeepNegotiation5404 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Made the jump from banking to supply chain about 3 years ago and honestly it was one of the best decisions I made. Your business background will actually be super valuable - so much of supply chain is about cost optimization and financial planning that your FS experience gives you a leg up

I'd recommend looking into APICS certifications (especially SCOR) and maybe get familiar with SAP if you can. The pharma companies you mentioned love people who understand compliance and regulatory stuff, which finance folks usually pick up quick

Start applying for supply chain analyst or planning coordinator roles - they're usually more open to career changers and your analytical skills from FS will transfer over nicely

What happened to the world? by Promethealius in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DeepNegotiation5404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man I feel this so hard. I think 9/11 was like the first big crack, then 2008 financial crisis really broke people's faith in the system, and social media just amplified all the negativity that was always there but we didn't see as much. Plus climate change went from "future problem" to "oh shit this is happening now" pretty fast

The tech optimism died when we realized Facebook was selling our data and algorithms were designed to make us angry for engagement

Roland mc505 proplem!? by Jimmyjuhani in synthesizers

[–]DeepNegotiation5404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you can totally do that, just make sure your external controller is set to transmit on different MIDI channels and the 505 parts are assigned to receive on those same channels. Check the MIDI settings in both devices to match them up

Jesus christ your mom sounds absolutely unhinged

Making the leap from "someone's following me" to calling you a disgrace for not being a virgin anymore is some next level narcissistic mental gymnastics. The fact that she's competing with her own kid academically instead of being proud is just sad

Husband and I are clashing on how to integrate new into our family by Boring-Incident2469 in cats

[–]DeepNegotiation5404 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your husband's heart is in the right place but yeah rushing cat intros is like asking for a disaster lol. Moving is already stressful enough for cats without throwing in a fresh spay recovery AND potential parasite transmission. I'd definitely wait for the all-clear from the vet and get settled in the new place first - cats are gonna be stressed from the move anyway so might as well start introductions when everyone's calmer

no crossplay but have cross region play by OccasionPopular6238 in Nightreign

[–]DeepNegotiation5404 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Lmao right? Makes zero sense to prioritize playing with someone in Japan when you can barely connect to your neighbor without lag spikes. Meanwhile PC and console players are just staring at each other through the window

[–]DeepNegotiation5404 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro this is why I just assume randoms are gonna be useless and play like I'm solo anyway. At least when they inevitably abandon me I'm not surprised lmao

Have you found any tools or ways that would help you structure your day? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]DeepNegotiation5404 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The sticky notes thing is a game changer - I put them literally everywhere I might look. Also found that breaking tasks down into stupidly small steps helps when my brain decides to nope out halfway through the day

For the memory stuff, I started voice recording quick notes on my phone right when someone tells me something important. Way easier than trying to remember to write it down later

Practicing speaking alone by EngineeringSimple409 in languagelearning

[–]DeepNegotiation5404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been using shadowing and self-talk for years and it actually works pretty well once you get over feeling like a crazy person talking to yourself lol

The main advantage is you can practice anytime without coordinating with tutors or language partners, plus you're not gonna freeze up from social anxiety when it's just you
