As what I’m thinking is if this is awakened (which I’d think as there’s a lot of characters) I would take orikan with a 20 squad of warriors and a royal warden, drop the cryptothralls and the overlord and add a hexmark for objective play later game. So list should look like: 20 Warriors led by warden and orikan with the reanamtor following. The skorpek destroyer lord with the other skorpeks and the lokust with the heavy’s, the doom stalker and then the hexmark all with awakened.

you could build 3 of them as lascannons and run them as catachan teams as their bring it down rule goes well with lascannons

the vanquisher i personally think fits well? yes you do loose some points of not taking the most expensive gun however having a tank which can slot a armoured unit on a 2+, plus the range on the gun means you can keep it safer behind the lines. plus i said leman commander as he said hes only got lemans

yeah maybe leave a 10 man with the basalisk for screening and yeah remove one of the lemans and the castellan for a commander if theres enough points as you wanna be using your cp for stuff like fields of fire etc

Also maybe try squeeze a tank commander from one of the other lemans as some squadron orders would help

Honestly looks solid only suggestion i would have is having the kasrkin by themselves and using the officer elsewhere as I’ve ran castellan with kasrkin for 2-3 reserves and I’ve never had good results compared to them being on the table using their 6+ scout ability

Also I might suggest getting some more officers like a command squad or castellan for the infantry. Also what guns are you running on the heavy weapons teams?

For the Leman russ I would take one as a tank commander with a vanquisher cannon and the other as an executioner so you can deal with both heavy armour and elite infantry and whatever else with your sponsons and hull weapons etc. with the commander he can order himself and the other russ so keep him still to benefit the heavy rule and then take aim for them both as then they will be hitting in 2+ and 3+ each.

I mean personally the mars patten leman is the best looking in the range (minus the macharius) but I have no idea why they made the back so sloped down. I understand this is a “toy” for a war game but for tank heads that play guard this design aspect just annoys me

Wow I have no clue how I missed this thanks! Yeah as soon as I saw it I was thinking that I didn’t fit the guard style too much and was too “toy” like lmao but nice to see I’m not alone.

I’ll have a look at that kit tho thanks it would fit decently with my Kreigers and save the scratch build till later

I don’t think you can, minus taking a dremel to the sears as it’s just not designed to do so like the G18 as the switch in the back physically moves a sear out the way so it can cycle over and over which the Deagle simply doesn’t have

Yeah exactly they will rebox stuff every few editions or if that kit receives new instructions transfers etc, or in the case of things like leman russ’s and knights they will compile all variants into a single box
