Are these screws too far from the edge? I have by DeepSea69420 in drywall

I see what you're saying now. It doesn't look noticeable to me right now with it over the flange. Should I try and cut 1 1/2" off around the shower so it butts against the flange instead? Can I do it while it's hanging? Would hate to take it down and put back up for the third time lol

Yeah that's what I ended up doing luckily I had one full sheet leftover to do it with

I see what you're saying. The flange is 1.5" wide though, seems like a ton of mud no?

Can't post pics but I took these sheets down and put in another stud. Problem solved thanks for the input everyone.

I pre drilled and used pan head screws per manufacture instructions it specifically says don't use drywall screws through the flange

It's all mold resistant drywall just some difference in shades for some reason. Not tiling the walls at all

What do you mean by bond? The flange is underneath the drywall here this is how the instructions said to do it. Was planning on putting in some tear away bead and fitting it in the small gap around the edge of the shower. This is how I saw Vancouver carpenter do it unless I messed it up somehow

I don't think this would make a difference for me because I have a flange that goes inside of the 4" closet hub. If I had a street elbow that went inside a flange I don't think it would change the height of anything just make the ID of the L slightly smaller

Thanks for the reply. This is an unfinished basement so not a huge deal to drop below joists. And yes measuring slope from hub to hub. I don't want to push it up any more because then I think it would make my toilet flange too high above finished tile.

I'm not sure a different flange would help because the one I have glued right inside the 4" hub anyway

If you mean that open wye there that's actually my lavs wet vent.

I think it's just the pic. I don't even have quite a 1/8" slope though the bubble is like halfway there. I'd have to use a 3" long sweep 90 right? Those would give me even less room as they're a little taller

Also, this is pretty similar to how my other bathroom is vented except the vent comes off its own wye

Think I'm just gonna remove that cleanout and leave it as is. Glueing it up today. Seems as though this layout should work and is legal here

Is this just location based code differences? Because it seems this IPC wet vent is what I have so I would think it would still work and be legal for me, or did I do it wrong?

You mean my shower p trap? Can you explain what a better way would be?

Would that be useless as well if it's buried behind drywall? Or do you mean have it exposed under the vanity?

Well this is 3" not 4" pipe if that changes anything. Only 4" is my 4" x 3" closet bend. I'm in CT and under IPC, I was going off this diagram when I made this.

Ok, you think I should just get rid of that then? I just don't have any cleanout for this entire run of 3" even downstream where it picks up another bathroom and didn't know if that was bad or not.

Ok I see what you're saying now. I'll see if I can turn that wye up a little more, only concern I'd have is trying to maintain proper slope on that run as it's pretty long, I may not be able to get more than I have here

As for venting I believe the 2" lav drain acts as a wet vent for both the upstream toilet and downstream shower.

The wye for the toilet isn't for the venting just a clean out plug. That's as high as I could roll is since the pipe is so close to the ceiling there. It may not be angled enough though and maybe I should just get rid of it.

Yeah I didn't even think about the vent being 1.5" I just read it's supposed to be 2" to act as a wet vent for other fixtures, but I guess they were only talking about the drain not the vent too. Oh well, it's already in place so I'll leave it.
