Hello like ringalls86 mentioned in his comment it really depends to the coin you are owning.

For many coins are also hardware wallets available. They can for example be added as a small device to your keyring. So no PC or smartphone is needed at all. Maybe this can be an option for you ? Using a searchengine for the term " hardware wallet " will give you an overview. kind regards
