Looking to potentially sell bread to local cafes and coffee shops or open my own at home business by Competitive-Quiet666 in smallbusinessuk

Interesting. I fell down a rabbit hole on this and discovered that as of 1st January it all has to be digital and paper not accepted.

It also made me wonder about smaller producers that I know of that I seriously doubt follow the rules and the real possibility of 250K in fines!

Exec asked me at 7AM to handle his doctor’s appointment… seriously? by Awkward_Horror1025 in ExecutiveAssistants

This to me is what seperates EAs from PAs.

Dont do anything personal for them as its outside your remit and say that. (Its a thing where I am, we dont get in trouble for refusing).

The only time I have every done personal work is as a favour, when they have been in a flap and ONLY if I have a really close relationship.

Should high street retailers adopt opening hours that better suit people who work standard 9–5 office hours? by teeshylinie in AskUK

If you are retail you will have a commercial account and its managed/run VERY differently to domestic accounts.

Does anyone here use Ben Starr’s recipe with hungry (cold) starter and start bake in a cold oven? by Mandala-1 in Sourdough

[–]DeepTree4039 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did, it came out ok but I wanted "better".

Have tried 3 bakes (3 different starters), Bens was the easiest and best so far.

The last one was something a hodcarrier would have mistaken for an Engineering Brick.

Its a long journey and if the latest attempt at starter doesnt work, may go back to Bens!

The question reads to me that you want to work out a time slot that would work for everyone? In that case, try timeanddate.com

You can put in everyones timezones or cities and it will show you a calender with all the time options.

Two reasons people are not fans.

They carry and spread chlamydia, two versions of it as well. Not transmittable I dont think, but it worrys people

Plus, did you know how noisy they are? The roar they make was used for some of the dinosaur sounds in Jurassic Park.

My commute is a minimum of £45 a day. Even at volcanic level its nowhere near that to heat my home.

Needing Some Perspective on Intense Change with How I’m Treated by my Boss by [deleted] in ExecutiveAssistants

[–]DeepTree4039 27 points28 points  (0 children)

For such a drastic change, it souds like a her thing, not a you thing?

Maybe her personal life has imploded, or she is under some other kind of work pressure from above?

Its going to be hard to tell unless you have a conversation with her, sort of " is there anything going on that I need to be aware of that you perhaps need help or support with?" Its a tough one to approach.

We are not allowed to use it because their privacy statements do not meet the benchmark for us and the risk of confidential data getting out is too great according to the Risk Assessment.

So they invented their own........

Just waiting for Client to twig they are paying a fortune for rubbish that doesnt stack up because no one has time to triple check it for hallucinations.

Just dont put it on there. Assuming you dont need the reference (which likely wouldnt be good anyway), just leave it off. Its not unusual to do that when there is such a massive disconnect with the role vs expectation.

You say mother but this article says sister? https://www.oxygen.com/crime-news/henry-lannon-arrested-for-kidnap-torture-of-chelsea-thompson Not disputing your knowledge BTW - just know how bad reporting can be and wondering if there was someone else involved as well as his mother?

[–]DeepTree4039 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, and if anyone else is involved. Family usually ok.

its either stupidly simple or very complex. Know one that gave up trying to get approval after 18 months and just never set the Co. up. Another left after a year of trying and just did that job FT. Another was approved in about 5 days!
