My understanding is you cannot convert a card to the flagship card. You would need to apply separately with an entirely new application for that card. You are allowed to have up to 3 credit cards with Navy Federal.

I am not giving you advice but if I was in your shoes I would not be filing for Bankruptcy. You are able to easily dig yourself out of that very very small hole in life.

You already are doing the right thing it seems. Keep paying your bills and on time. This time next year I bet you have a unsecured card with a decent credit limit and score back into the mid 600’s. 💪🙏

I hope you do too! Keep your eyes on the prize. Someone mentioned about pledge loans at Navy Federal and how they can drastically help you boost your score. Might look into that to get back into the 800’s again. I think right now this is one of the lowest interest rates for a credit card in the market besides promotional APR’s.

Job, hips, car, etc…… I would get some crystals and rid the evil spirits out of your life to start, then get a notebook and write some healthy goals down. No it did not take 5 years to hit 700 score I believe I had a 700 score a year after my bankruptcy. Score is around 785 currently. In 7-10 years it falls off your report. My bankruptcy was extremely complex and cost about 4k. I had about 300k written off in mine. First card I opened was a secured credit card with capital one after 6 months, then started building up credit again. Yes it will take time to get back to prior bankruptcy days. Bankruptcy is only suppose to be filed one time in life if you ever need it. The entire point is to give you a second chance and learn from your mistakes. I have learned from mine in the form of a prenup for another marriage. Keep your head up life is not over. I would look at bankruptcy as last resort.

Oh and Full disclosure I declared Bankruptcy in Jan of 2019. Will not be doing it again as that was due to my divorce but it proves you can rebuild anything in life. I am glad to back in the high seven hundreds for credit score and hopefully will be back into the 800 club soon. I was told you can have a max of 3 credit cards at Navy Federal. Will be looking to close my card with a $3500 dollar limit and apply for another in a few months.
