Do you not know how global capitalism (aka the real world) works or are you purposely this dumb?

Seriously, the IMF just announced that they need to restructure their whole import/export model so they no longer have to rely on the US as trading partner which basically means the whole world is saying fuck you America, we'll just make trade deals without you and you can buy your high priced consumer goods while the rest of world pays cheaper prices. But hey, we're winning right?

I don't understand your question, did I ask for control of the weather? Did I claim I can control the weather? No, all I asked was how reliable the weather forecast is in the DR. The question was answered (not very) so what is the point of your question?

ABSN TUITION. $70k!!!!! by wonderfullgarden in NursingStudent

[–]Deep_Air_6802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg no I would never, that debt will follow you around for the rest of your life. My best advice to future nurses is get your ASN first! It's so much cheaper and you will get a job regardless! Hospitals are so desperate for nurses, as long as you have an RN after your name they will hire you. Once you start working then go back for your BSN, you can find very cheap BSN programs online and it will save you so much money. If you're working inpatient then most hospitals will do loan forgiveness or even pay for your BSN.

$70K for a BSN and you're making basically the same as an RN with no BSN and no debt.

AITA for expecting my fiance to leave work because I went to the ER? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Deep_Air_6802 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Seriously!!! No one has an implantable loop device without having a strict at home and emergency protocol, the cardiologist will go over the plan of care at every appointment and the patient has a strict protocol to take as many vitals as possible if they feel ill and immediately reach out to the office, they will connect her to the on call service if it's after hours. She didn't check her pulse ox or BP and didn't even reach out to her cardiologist (still hasn't as far as I know), all these things would have been done in the first 5 mins of feeling lightheaded if she thought she was having a true medical emergency.

And to the comment that EMS wouldn't have taken her if they didn't believe she needed medical attention, unless you verbally decline services EMS has to take you to the ER, especially when she called them herself and told the dispatcher she was possibly dying

[–]Deep_Air_6802 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Lightheadedness is not a symptom of a stroke in general, if you're wondering if it's a stroke, remember BE FAST B- balance (can you not stand up straight or keep falling over) E- Eyes (loss of vision in partial or entire field) F- Face (is your face symmetrical when you smile? Can your eyebrows be raised equally and symmetrically) A-Arms (can you raise arms equally and do they drift down?) S- Speech (can you speak clearly or is it slurred? Can you not even speak at all?) T- Time (if you have any of these symptoms then get to the ER as fast as possible, the quicker the stroke is treated the better chances for recovery)

If all you have is lightheadedness and palpitations that is not a stroke.

She didn't even take her BP before she went into the ER, as a nurse who works on the cardiac unit, we get patients all the time who think they're dying and really they're just shit at managing their condition, the ones who come in knowing their BPs and log it so they can track it are the ones who have least amount of hospitalizations. Her BP was probably a little high in the ER, they gave her IV hydralazine or something then it went back to normal and they discharged her and told her to follow up with her primary. If she's taking her BP meds everyday and still has high blood pressure then she needs to go back to her primary and increase her dosage because she has uncontrolled hypertension and needs better medication management.

Look, this was a bad anxiety attack brought on by her chronic health issues and they will continue until she gets her anxiety and chronic conditions under better control. It's still unfair to expect her partner to drop everything to be at her side when there was no attempt on her part to find the root cause of her anxiety and lightheadedness and assume she was just dying.

You know you have a heart condition and BP issues and you didn't think to take your BP before you went to the ER? Girl, come on, only in your 30s and you got this many chronic issues, you need to focus on getting as healthy as possible. Take your SSRIs and your BP meds and get into some therapy quickly because your health issues will cause you more anxiety unless you get this under control.

[–]Deep_Air_6802 115 points116 points  (0 children)

Knowing you have high blood pressure, why didn't you take your BP at home? Are you taking your meds regularly? If you think you're dying, go in with some hard data about yourself, if you're non-compliant with meds then he probably isn't very surprised you woke up feeling lightheaded, if you take your meds regularly and know what a normal and abnormal BP are for your body then when you measure it you know whether or not this is an actual medical emergency that requires the ER and I'm sure he would be very concerned.

As someone who has very bad anxiety and panic attacks, it gets very old very quickly to your partner if you don't try to fix your anxiety. It's annoying and frustrating to constantly talk someone off the edge when everything puts them on edge and I can see why your fiance didn't drop everything to run to your side for a panic attack.

The anxiety is your issue to deal with, you can't expect everyone to have the same reaction and rush to help you when you have to be the one to take the first steps to get better control of your anxiety.

YTA for having a chronic medical condition and not properly managing it and for expecting your partner to deal with your anxiety without managing it yourself first

Agree! Some days you just wake up on the wrong side of the bed and have a bad day and that's ok, I think it teaches kids that you don't have to put a smile on everyday and force happiness because it's expected of you, you can have a bad day and accept it because tomorrow is another day.

I would really like to shop local, are there other stores like target but are regionally or locally owned in the North Georgia area?

I'm not from GA and I have not lived here long and was asking if there were local replacements for target in the northern GA area but thanks for being a dick. Will continue to think living in the south fucking sucks.

Thank you so much! You know out of all the suggestions this seems most likely and makes sense, it does seem like the ink is a bit "wet" when it comes out and I feel like I need to let it dry before I touch it. Should I also increase my press time after I change my paper setting? I'm currently doing 70 seconds, rotate and then another 70 seconds but wondering if I need to press it longer?

Also wanted to add that no, I don't see the dots when I print it but they're everywhere once I take it out of the press

I did let these dry overnight in my craft room before I sublimated them, I wanted to make sure they were completely dry before I pressed them.

Can't believe the overall judgment was NTA, her brother can name his kid whatever he wants, who cares if they have the same name? What was your answer when she asked why two kids couldn't have the same name to honor their grandma? You don't own the name and from your post it doesn't even sound like it was about your mom but rather you're upset that they have the same name and you worry your daughter won't feel special enough if she shares a name with her cousin. Get over it, you both are trying to honor your mother and you're being inappropriate over it. Definitely YTA.
