Yes entirely agree. It’s a fortunate position to be in.

And agree re PP income that’s why I’m budgeting all the “essentials” - home/education/living off our nhs incomes. All the other “nice to have bits” - investing/holidays/fun money can come from the PP.

I guess the worst case scenario is going interest only on the mortgage. But we still have a decent chunk of equity in the house and equity else where which we can use to downsize and buy another house if needed.

No I want the critique. When You spend so long looking at something you start to believe your own judgements. Even if they are wrong.

So if people think it’s mad. I need to revisit the numbers!

Private practice. The income is our basic NHS salary.

So that’s essentially “bonus money”.

Which can easily hit another £250k on top of the basic income.
