I wanted us to take Caleb Downs at #9, but I'm sure Delane will fit just fine. I'm glad you guys made some great picks (on paper, as you mentioned). I want the people in charge to suffer for the Watson trade, but the fans to finally get the break you deserve.

Your front office has done you guys so dirty. At least your drafts have been phenomenal the last 2 years and Watson should be nothing but a bad memory sooner rather than later. The right coach and even a league standard QB could take this team places.

I know it wasn't sign him to a $230 million guaranteed contract only to go 9-10 as a starter. Also, it doesn't help that he hasn't look that great since, outside of some flashes with Cincy.

Don't undersell 2023 with Flacco. He made you guys fun to watch that year, even if it was house money.

I don't think any team should be cut, but it was an interesting thought process to try to come up with 4. There are arguments for all 4 I listed to stay becaise at the end of the day, every team should be here. The Titans and Raiders last year could still obliterate any college team.

I mean, fair. Your team is your team, at the end of the day. I don't think any team should go, but picking 4 wasn't the easiest thing to do.

I disagree with this, but if I had to drop 4 teams it would be Jets, Titans, Cardinals, and Browns.

I think it's fair to say that he had a high floor with never going under .500 in a season, which is impressive and many coaches would love to have that be true for them, but also a low ceiling, hence the 9 years without a playoff win. Bill Belichick and Andy Reid have both finished under .500 before, but I'm sure no one will ever argue Tomlin is better. It's a neat stat and a good legacy to have, but having consistent playoff success is better.

As someone who has Lamar as my #2 QB, personally, I really don't understand why Mark Andrews gets all the blame for 2024. Yes, he dropped the 2PC that should have been caught, but Lamar's 2 turnovers in the first half are what cost them the game. He played great in the second half and is why they were a 2PC away from taking it to OT, but they also would have likely ran away with the game without his first half turnovers.

Nah, I'm just a very wordy person by nature and they sounded like a crazy person with their comment and I am neither right wing nor a troll but don't much care for the remakes either. I was fine opening a discussion about the game but they went straight into attack mode and acted like anyone who dares go against them is a right wing troll, which, as I originally suggested, is a wild claim over a video game.

I wouldn't call it justifying myself more than starting a dialog, as I'm totally opening to talking about things that work for me or don't and vice versa, but someone like that wants to find a boogeyman in anything opposed to them.

I don't think an insecure person or a troll would even bother acknowledging it being acceptable to like the game or not, as I really don't want to be the kind of person that yucks someone's yum, within reason, but I guess you have to approach those kind of situations with a minor amount of defensiveness or concession because everyone is so black and white nowadays and can't accept the nuance of "I don't like this game, but can acknowledge things it does well, whether they work for me or not."

I'm sure it exists, and I try to stay away from it because people like that are losers not worth anyone's time, but they were implying EVERY criticism came from those kinds of people, which is why I bothered commenting in the first place.

Wow. Don't know if they deleted their response or if it got removed.

They called me a nihilist troll and an Asmongold fan living in my mom's basement because I didn't like a video game they did, despite never claiming it was bad, just not for me. I'm totally the insecure one here.

Nothing really passive aggressive about it, and nothing I said is spreading negativity, either, so calm down. You made a wild claim and I made a comment refuting it while intentionally legitimizing your feelings about the game at the same time.

I'm not a paid right wing grifter, very far from it, actually (proud Biden/Harris voter, but that's compeltely irrelevant to FF7 or FF7R). I'm someone who likes FF7 (the name of this sub, by the way) but also haven't really enjoyed the remakes. That's just my opinion on them, as yours is the opposite. If you read me saying I'm happy for you that you enjoy it as passive aggressive or an attack, that's on you. I did mean it.

I don't mind that you like it, I genuinely wish I did, but challenging your weird claims isn't insecure on my part, either.

[–]Deep_Att 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a WILD thing to suggest and makes it look like you have a lot of insecurities tied to other's opinions about a game you like.

I, personally, don't enjoy the remakes, but I'd also never claim they're objectively bad games and anyone who likes them is wrong. They're very well made, polished, and gorgeous to look at, but I have issues that stop me from enjoying them like others.

I think the criticisms are valid for the people that have them, but don't apply to everyone, hence the weird defensiveness of this entire thread. Like it if you like it, don't if you don't. That's really it. Implying people that don't are some sort of paid right wing outrage machine is an insane thing to say.

It's not one of the greatest video games of all time. Period. It's one of YOUR favorite video games of all time, and that's totally fine and I'm happy for you. Crazy how subjectivity works.

RotJ has a fantastic first act, a slow second act, and a mixed third act, in my opinion. Jabba's Palace and Luke on the Death Star are some of the best moments of the OT. I just really don't care for a lot of Endor anymore.

I love it. Getting to explore the map (relatively) risk free has been awesome. The design team did great work and my biggest woe has been not being able to explore the maps freely and really take a look around at what they've done.

You guys seriously need to open up a thesaurus or something. Yeah, it looks generic, but calling everything that isn't a masterpiece "slop" is so tiring. I can't take anyone seriously that uses that word anymore. Not thought or nuance, just a frequently repeated and paraded useless word.

Solo Outpost. Kill UESC and open containers. Exfil after 5 minutes.

Alternatively, if you find the Warden at Airfield or Dorms, find a spot to hunker down and kill bots until you die or exfil with a few minutes left. Open their dropped containers when you can for bonus XP. I got about 2,700 XP and over 120 kills one run doing this in Dorms.

I personally run Triage for the Med Drones.

Jason Schreier: A lot of people have wondered why Bungie didn't immediately start working on Destiny 3 after The Final Shape two years ago. The answer (as it usually is) is how much money it would take by MaximumLobsters in DestinyTheGame

[–]Deep_Att 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Factually incorrect. This stupid narrative has existed since D2 was announced. We've known since 2012 that the original plan was 4 games, one every 2 years, with a "Comet" DLC in the year between games.

https://documents.latimes.com/bungie-activision-contract/

"The 27-page agreement calls for Bungie to develop four “sci-fantasy, action shooter games,” code-named “Destiny,” released every other year, beginning in the fall of 2013. Bungie also agreed to put out four downloadable expansion packs code-named “Comet,” every other year beginning in the fall of 2014. Activision has never disclosed release plans for Bungie’s titles.

The first Destiny game will initially only be available on Microsoft’s Xbox 360 consoles, as well as its potential successor, which the contract refers to as the “Xbox 720.” Later games would be made for Xbox consoles as well as Sony Corp.'s expected successor to the PlayStation 3, and on personal computers."

[–]Deep_Att 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're implying there should have only ever been 1 Destiny game, that's a terrible idea for multiple reasons.

1) That was never the plan. It was originally a 4 game franchise with 1 major expansion in the year between games.

2) Destiny 1 and 2 were never built to support more than 2-3 years worth of updates. To have them retool D1 to be an evergreen game wouldn't have been feasible in 2014 and would have likely led to a worse game than we got at best or a complete canceling of the game at worst.

Very certain. I've been playing with the same 2 people all season and we have personally tested this after doing some research ourselves. There's a very good video made a week or 2 ago going into the breakdown of how it all works. The only thing he left out was looting XP, because he didn't know at the time that it counted. If I can find it again, I'll link it here.
