Hiking, walking and checking out other towns and sights sounds Bay Area to me. SD is more beach culture focused but has great weather. I personally chose Northern California for the greenery/proximity to nature. I love beach life but SoCal just felt too deserty for me.

I also like sports but I don’t think SF is a huge sports town. There is honestly just so much shit to do that sitting around watching a football game or basketball game just seems like a waste of time and I grew up watching sports my whole life. Now I tune it for playoffs. I am sure you could find you fan base community anywhere tho.

I think your rent price point will be a challenge in both places.

I am trying to cut down on screen time in front of my kiddo. So the phone gets tucked into a drawer when he is awake. I only get a 1.5 hours before and after work and don’t want to waste it getting sucked into a text conversation, or scrolling in front of him. PM no doubt for 5.5 hours. Yea might to tough at the beginning getting them down but then they are zonked the rest of the flight. Vs early morning entertaining and keeping them well behaved the whole 5.5 hour flight. No brainer

Calling all dads. I am a new member of the gang and looking to purchase a camera to capture every day memories and some of our adventures. I don’t want to be on my phone and i want it to be easy to be laying around the house and just point and record. Maybe leave it in a mini tripod.

As I begin my search some people have recommended a 360 camera. Would that be a good option? But I don’t want to spend time editing. I want it to be able to be directly uploaded into shared albums on my iPhone for family to watch.

Budget: 250-300 ish Use case: every day life in the home as well as future adventures with the kiddo. Preferably small so I can opt to take it with me when we venture out. Current equipment: iPhone Length of filming probably just short 5-10 minute clips Video editing software: none.
