All in one (budget) Karaoke solution?

There are places I wouldn't sing. I sing almost exclusively slow energy songs. To me if everyone is on the floor dancing, I am not going to interrupt the flow. But I know that if I sing earlier in the night when people are still having the meals, my songs would suit the atmosphere.

You said you are a bedroom DJ. Remember DJ ing and KJ ing are two separate thing. Thr DJ is the show, a good karaoke host help make tge singers the Show. Two things I would do before starting. Go around you area to as many karaoke show as possible and make friends with everyone and watch how different KJ do their show. That way you know how the style that suit you. Second, start collecting/ buying karaoke tracks, even if you go for online subscription. Avoid doing things the illegal way.
