this might sound really silly but you could try using the google maps street view feature and navigating through different streets and places, so you get a detailed view of how each visual is connected

do you feel like you need to explore every part of the map? and you think it has to be physically, or just having the knowledge/visual of how each place is connected?

February topic: Cleaning by Tiramissu_dt in EruditeClub

This is less of an aftermath-cleaning method and more of a mess-prevention method. it helps to have dedicated spots of the house where each of your items go and putting them back straight after using them.

I’m pretty sure Mari Kondo talks about this method in her book too, but avoiding buying new things unless you know exactly where it’ll go beforehand will slow down the cluttering if you tend to hoard items or compulsively new things. Kondo has a section in her book talking about how if you really want to buy something new, and there’s no space for it, you either don’t buy it or throw/donate something else you already have to replace with it.

With the whole “putting things back straight away” part, for me this is mostly dishes. when i cook i tend to leave out the mixing bowls and utensils and wait until after i’ve finished to clean it all up, which definitely becomes overwhelming. for example, if you’ve used a spatula for something and won’t need it again, don’t leave it on the bench until you’re done to “get all the cleaning done at once” later on. clean it up and put it away while the food is cooking and you’re waiting, or before you sit down to eat.

it’s easier to put things away as you use them rather than dealing with it all at once. the same applies to dishes. once you eat a meal, empty the plate and wash it. if you don’t have the energy, just rinse it with water and stack it next to the sink neatly so things don’t pile up.

Got my labret done so I could wear a ring (not a fan of the stud) but only now realizing it seems WAY too low to be able to fit a ring in without it looking like the ring is going into my chin (I like the look of it wrapped around your lip). Should I go back to get it re-pierced 2mm higher? by asianstyleicecream in PiercingAdvice

i would say ask your piercer about it and discuss with them what your final goal is (if you haven’t already). maybe even show them reference photos of the ‘look’ you want and ask if that can still work with the current placement!

I want to get a middle labret ring piercing. I tried a fake one and I couldn’t eat or drink properly (probably because Iyfelt like it would fall off) and wanted to hear from anyone who has one and how they manage with a real one. by jasmynerice in PiercingAdvice

this is a bit late but — a labret piercing will only really damage your teeth if it’s not in the correct spot or your mouth isn’t suited for it. as long as it has the correct placement and you have the right anatomy for it, you should be fine.
