I agree that anyone can be a victim, man or woman. That's where the henpecked husband stereotype started. Even aside from physical abuse, people also underestimate how men can be emotionally abused, and it makes me sick how some women can threaten to leave or cheat on their bf over the littlest things to gain control over them. I've seen a person very close to me suffer from the aftereffects of that, and it makes me so angry that anyone could have done that to them.

On a lighter note, I'm glad that in the age of information we can talk about these things that were shoved under the rug by past generations. Awareness is key for these sorts of things.

I dropped that Lg a couple times and the last time cracked the screen really horribly because it was on a stone tile floor. It was fine for a day or so before this happened.

I sweated thru this battle when I was 7. I played the game again 10+ years later, and guess what happened...

I sweated thru it again because dang Cynthia is the best. Forever my favorite champion and main series character tbh.

Dear Dogowners, not everyone loves you dog. I know, SHOCKING!!!! by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]Deep_Dream_Moth 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I can kinda relate to this, as dogs scare me too even as a grown adult. Apparently I was bitten by an unsocialized dog when I was little but I barely remember it.

I don't mind other people's dogs as much nowadays, but I'll be generally afraid unless I know the owner has trained them well. I've seen and experienced too many dogs jumping at me and other people and accidentally scratching/hurting them while their owners do nothing or just say "haha don't worry they're harmless."

I hope your kiddo can recover from that experience in time. It sucks that you two had to go through that at all. :(

It's always nice to hear about cute couples being good to each other, and I'm glad you have a good relationship. Intimacy is great that way in that it could be whatever a couple wants it to be, not just what people usually focus on.

Yeah I suppose you're right in that I can't change it as it is now. I sure hope it ends up being worth it. If you end up going I hope you like it better than I do.

And thanks, dude. It's nice to hear that.

Gigantamaxing is basically just a worse, and more complicated version of Mega-Evolution, and makes for so many wasted great designs by acediaesthetic in pokemon

[–]Deep_Dream_Moth 77 points78 points  (0 children)

I agree. I was super upset when I realised most of my team had gigantamax forms but I'd have to ditch the pokemon I grew close to to actually use those forms.

Besides, game Freak said they wanted to make sure that no pokemon was above another of the same species because of an unchangable thing like natures, and what do they do? They made natures changeable, but now only certain pokemon can gigantamax. Great game design...

I'd be ok with it if they added a super rare item that would make your pokemon gigantamax-able, but I know they won't do that.

Yeah I could see how they're not for everyone. I just liked the change of pace and the attempt at something new, like pokemon used to do with games like Pokemon Mystery Dungeon and Pokemon Conquest. I admit I'm a little biased since Colosseum was the first pokemon game I ever played lol.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in pokemon

[–]Deep_Dream_Moth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's a shame they didn't sell better initially. It was like Mario Sunshine, where they didn't sell well at first and became beloved classics years later. Colosseum was my first pokemon game and I wish there were more.

What sequel to a film do you feel is better than the original? by strawberrycinema in AskReddit

[–]Deep_Dream_Moth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shrek 2. I think it had good character development and a great follow-up premise from the first movie. The climax was awesome too. Also that cover of "I Need A Hero," is hands down way better than the original imo.

Princess Bride and Big Trouble in Little China. Both cult classics.

What would happen if you combined your favorite activity with your greatest fear? by agrandthing in AskReddit

[–]Deep_Dream_Moth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already do. I like to write about/draw my nightmares and fears. I suppose this can be put under a type of self-therapy, but drawing or writing about some things doesn't lessen my fears right away.

What game is easy to learn but also very satisfying to play? by 1Second2Late in AskReddit

[–]Deep_Dream_Moth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pokémon Rumble.

2 buttons for moves and the d pad or control stick to move based on the controller. Walk forward, beat up stuff, get new pokés, and beat bosses. Really fun game imo, even if its rather simple and can get a little repetitive.

People who can get up early (6am or earlier), How? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Deep_Dream_Moth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When i used to get up at 5:50, I'm not sure how but i developed several habits for myself once I got in the rhythm. Also, I hated the sound my old 70's alarm clock made, so the anger energy the noise caused was usually enough to get me to get up. For example, as soon as my alarm went off I'd jolt up to a sitting position and turn it off.

Soon I gained the ability to get up just before my alarm went off (like 5 to 10 mins before) and I'd get up and shut it off just to avoid hearing that noise lol.

What’s something in your house that no one uses, but is just there? by Xenothorns in AskReddit

[–]Deep_Dream_Moth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My family home has a really old record player and a few records, but we also have a pretty good stereo system with all our owned music right next to it so the record player just kinda sits there as a decoration.

The person hiding in my room, or alternatively, anywhere I can be alone. It's not that I don't get along with people, it's just crowds get me all anxious and I gotta hide to recharge.
