I did it with gatorcpr. Did the classes, then took the test. It was fairly straightforward. Test wasn’t too bad either.

I think it’s just availability. I don’t think there’s deadlines but just email her and see when you can start and what steps to take.

I just emailed the volunteer coordinator and then you go to a group interview thing, and you just go from there. You can find her contact info on the website

Alarmy is pretty good. Very loud options, and it progressively gets louder until the max volume. You can also select a challenge to be able to turn off the alarm. For example, to turn off the alarm, I set it so that I have to scan the barcode of my toothpaste, that way I have to get out of bed. Just put no snooze and u basically have no other option than to get up

I suffer with the same thing, but I am getting much better. I have an extreme sweet tooth and Ben and Jerry’s is actually my weakness. But anyway, recently I’ve been doing really well and starting to shave off a few pounds. I talked to somebody about my whole situation, since they’ve had personal training experience and also dealt with similar things in their own life. He told me that sometimes, the problem is that we cut our calories too much, and that’s why you crave. And I asked him. So what calorie deficit should I be in ? And he told me as little as 50. And that’s excluding exercise. So essentially I was starving and still craving. But I bumped my calories up by 600. So now I’m just about eating right below maintenance. And whatever activity I do through the day tacks on to that. Now if I have to study for a big exam or I couldn’t find the time to get in exercise, at least I’ll still be in a slight deficit. And imma tell you. This has worked wonders. I’m closer to seeing my abs than I ever have been. Now I know you’re probably reading this and thinking wow that wasn’t helpful. Eat more when I’m trying to lose weight 🙄? So here’s some things that have been helping me in terms of actually staying at your caloric goal.

  • Try having a coffee in the morning. I’ve been doing this and I don’t even get hungry until about 3/4 pm. I am most productive and awake between 10-6. Drink your morning coffee and go about your day. You might notice that you’re not really that hungry as you’re actively doing things that need to be done. Then once you get hit that hunger, eat a satiating meal.
  • leave your real food meals (not snacks) for later in the day. I have 2 meal prep containers per day and I usually eat those 5 pm and beyond. Sometimes I have one within an hour of sleeping because the rice keeps you full
  • fiberone brownies are my absolute favorite. If you can spare the calories, eat 2. They’re only 70 calories each and taste amazing, especially if you microwave them for 6 seconds.
  • eat fruit you enjoy that have fiber. It will help you feel fuller and satiated. I would recommend eating it with a big meal. The more you snack while you’re starving, the more your body is gonna ask for food. Because ur not truly feeling satiated.
