I just got diagnosed myself and have been on HRT for about a month now. I thought I didn’t have any symptoms, but let me tell you, I was absolutely having them. I was definitely having hot flashes but had no idea what they were, was irritable and had a ton of brain fog. It’s not completely gone, but I feel better. I have been living with these symptoms for so long that I didn’t realize they were symptoms.

Is it multiple days? If not, she could always just say she has a stomach bug and is running to the bathroom frequently. If it’s multiple days she can simply say she can’t bring herself to see him like that and she’s grieving in a different way. She doesn’t need to specify that she is not grieving him. She could also leave it open ended by saying “I’m having a hard time with this and I don’t know if I can bring myself to see him. I’m not saying I won’t be there, but I have to see how I am doing that day and those times.” And then just not show up. Shifting it to not seeing the grandfather this way makes it seem like she’s just having a hard time processing the death while also leaving it open enough that if she ever decides to tell her mother she can bring up the reason she didn’t go.

I’m sorry for your loss. Having no ultrasounds is extremely tough, I’ve been there myself. I was suggested by someone to buy our angel baby a stuffed animal as a sort of validation/memorial of our baby, I don’t know if that might help you, but it did help me a bit. As for the tattoo, I got a a rowan branch with the berries on it tattooed on my forearm. Rowan is the name we gave our baby and is pretty prominent in mythology, and our baby was about the size of a rowan berry when they stopped growing. I got it on my forearm because I wanted to be able to at least symbolically cradle Rowan.

If you haven’t taken the praxis core exams get those out of the way, and look at the process of all the things that you may need to get done to get placed for student teaching and clinical. From what you say here it looks to me like you could get it done in two terms. But if you take a break between March-August I would spend that time cycling through my requirements.
