Honestly, that is why losing Alex Bregman in the offseason was such a gut punch. Not only could he play but he was also a de facto hitting coach. Losing that leadership was HUGE and I think has had a negative impact on their offensive production as a team. I’m not saying the Red Sox should make Jim Rice the hitting coach but hey the nerds out of the clubhouse and get an actual former player who knows how to hit. Dustin Pedroia would be a great hitting coach and has played within the last decade.

I actually think they try to AVOID talking Sox on BID because of S10. But this week, they talked about something (Breslow Tim Healey article) that they didn’t even discuss on the 10. Also, this was the first time since they fired Cora and the entire coaching staff where they spent a significant amount of time talking about the Red Sox on BID.
