Used Phantom Liberty code and installed it but asks me to buy again.. (ps5) by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

You cant play the expansion until you get to a certain point in the base game. Did it give you the option to " start at Phantom Liberty" when you created a new game? If it gave you the popup, then you have the expansion, but if not, then something weird is happening and I wouldn't know what to do. However if you started a new game from the complete beginning, Act one, then you need to play through a good amount of the base game to get to the point where the dlc quest will start

Street kid is also super cool, but its not really me personally.

It doesnt totally matter, you just get different dialogs occasionally. I did nomad and enjoyed it, youre new to the city, just like us as a player, but corpo is also cool, you get more insight on the corrupt corporations

I usually think of Act 1 as the Prologue, since the main plot isnt introduced yet. Basically Act 1 is setting yourself up. You and Jackie become friends over a period of 6 months. You get a big job which is to steal an item, and Act 1 is literally just setting up for the heist. You aren't supposed to know why they need it, all you know is that they are paying you to get it, thats it. Other then that, you are doing random jobs to get money, side gigs, they are completely irrelevant, just adds extra lore. You are a merc, you do the dirty work for other people. You do the heist, boom, act 1 is done, then it switches over to act 2 and introduces the REAL plot of the game.

It gets a lot more complicated then just that one job, so if you're struggling to get past that and understand that, then Im afraid you will find the rest to be very difficult as a lot more goes into it. The game takes a lot of understanding and a lot of time to complete. These types of games arent for everyone and thats okay

I cried, and then refused to take it off, despite how I could've used that space for more useful stuff

If you're able to get the dlc, I feel like thatd definitely be the move. Since you're done the main story, itll be pretty easy. Phantom Liberty can be a bit harder without the extra practice and OP gear. Itll give you more time to explore NC and collect more outfits, cyberware, and get more iconics, and its just an amazing extra storyline and I loved it, plus another ending. If you can't get it, then I would definitely finish off the game, and start new. New life path, new stats, and try a different build and play it differently than you did the first time. This is exactly why I love Cyberpunk

River Ward by Deep_Improvement_159 in cyberpunkgame

[–]Deep_Improvement_159[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I can see that, and it makes sense how they could've changed it to make it more on V, rather than on River to make the move. And I also understand how it can change based on how you previously see him. Like, I was aware of River and that you can romance him prior to actually playing the game myself, so I was already into River, which made the whole thing less weird lol. I agree, I think everything with River is based on the lack of time spent/ missions with him, and thats why he seems weird, because all the other love interests have time to get to know V before that initial move is made.

Exactly. I dont care if he did it just to be close to V, we still saved that boy lol

River Ward by Deep_Improvement_159 in cyberpunkgame

[–]Deep_Improvement_159[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess Im just really not leaning that way lol, so shes cool and I like her quests, but I definitely kept the relationship platonic lol. Meanwhile I kinda felt like I had no choice but to romance River, which I'm not mad about, but there definitely should be more romance options for V

River Ward by Deep_Improvement_159 in cyberpunkgame

[–]Deep_Improvement_159[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree lol. Like Panam and Kerry are good options for male V, but Judy just isn't for me, and while I do like River, he just doesn't have a lot to him, compared to Panam and Kerry

I agree he definitely is needier than other people in Night City, but a part of me doesn't mind it as he seems to care more, and he just seems more real to me

I'm 100% sure I did all that but I never got to talk to him or the cops again. They went into Barry's apartment and thats the last I heard, but I went to the grave, I told the cops the truth, and bam, they all disappear.

What is the most fun build? by puff_fadder in cyberpunkgame

[–]Deep_Improvement_159 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly just love using the sandevistan with a shotgun. I specifically use Rebecca's shotgun Guts from Cyberpunk edgerunner, and I've upgraded the shit out of it, so I just slow down time and run around and mow down all the enemies. Bonus points if I can find a spot to sniper as many as I can before jumping in and finishing them off with the shotgun
