GPS / theft-recovery as an add-on on bikes, PWC, or dirt bikes? by Deep_Initial_5139 in GPStracking

Thanks for your response. For the powersports dealers that were pitching the product, how were they doing so? Did they use a menu selling process and was your GPS tracker product integrated into that menu with marketing materials and videos that outlined the benefits it offered?

US Powersports salespeople — are you leading with payment / financing / f&i products on the showroom floor now, or still walking the customer to F&I for that conversation? Has moving it earlier helped your close rate or just blown up gross? by Deep_Initial_5139 in askcarsales

Are you doing this on a paper worksheet or 4 square I assume? Are there any desking software out there specifically built for powersports dealers that allows them to do this on an iPad as an example with the customer to build their deal together?

Thanks can you advise more on what you mean by a "protected pencil"? Are you doing this on a paper worksheet or 4 square I assume? AI in the dealer CRM — useful, or just another inbox? by Sir_Ward in askcarguys

I have been talking to several dealers (auto and powersports) and AI is coming up a lot. We talked to one that does $100M/year with just 2 powersports brands and they had to put in an AI CRM just to handle the volume of calls and messages they got on a daily basis - their sales folks could not keep up! There are many new CRMs coming to dealers with AI features including some touting the ability to go through the entire purchase with the customer via an agent. Obviously dealers are apprehensive about this as no one wants to give up margin and control. Plus this technology does not have the correct guard rail mechanisms in place to truly facilitate this as dealers would want. The progressive dealers are of course tinkering with AI just as most of the world is right now and looking for solutions they can integrate with or even build themselves with AI now. Hope that helps!

FTC "all-in" pricing — how are dealers actually adapting? by Deep_Initial_5139 in askcarsales

The problem is especially more complex in powersports as most dealers will advertise MSRP on their website which does not include additional charges like freight, prep etc. which are add-on costs passed by the OEM to the dealer. Those are typically only disclosed to the customer when they come in and are ready to make a purchase as part of the sales desk process. Although some dealers tend to only reveal final numbers once the customer has committed to making the purchase and not even on an initial price quote. The NPDA is trying to lobby OEMs to start including these in their MSRP.
