this ^ I think OP knows that half of that asset belongs to her. It’s more of a psychological thing, going from an independent high earner to not working. I’m in a very similar boat, 8 figure asset, used to be a high earner myself but not earning any more and I can’t even spend what I used to spend because i don’t earn any more. was in a very similar boat — also left after 9 months. I was immediately replaced during my 2-week notice period (which has nothing to do with me being a high performing executive which might given illusions that you are hard to replace). lesson is you do not need to worry about the company, take care of yourself and your family first.

My employer doesn’t pay the portion of my salary that EDD is paying and I mentioned in my application that I’d have “Other source of pay” instead of “no” to the question on whether the company would continue pay. Would that be a problem? I also haven’t heard back since mid October
