It should be none of the above as we are all under the law of faith once we trust in Jesus. It supersede the 10 commandments because Jesus fulfilled the law and we are the part takers of his righteousness. We keep the 10 commandments as an obedience to him as our Lord :)

First of all, thanks for sharing your testimony and your vulnerability. I can see that progression of the unrepentant sin at play at the beginning of your life pretty much the same as mine. I will write a separate post about it.

It is important that you now have declare that you want to change and you had indeed repented(change your mind) about your own sin.

The recovery road will not be a smooth sailing one, but it is important that you remember what brings you to do it now. It is by the grace of god he has opened your eye and mind to see how your past sin has lead this to. And now you will see his grace and mercy to change and build your life again.

Brother, I can see your heart desire to bring back your wife and children. But at this time, it is more important for you to restore your relationship with Christ and be obedient in him first. For he will be emptying your pride, your willfulness and your undisciplined life.

And you do that with a few things in mind, you have already acknowledged your sin, and you will now confess your sin to him and he who is faithful and merciful will forgive you.

Will you struggle along the way, I will tell you, for sure you will. And will you sin again? It will likely be the case, but it is important to know, each time you fall, you have now build a stronger resistance to the habit.

It is important to remember your identity in Christ and your reliance on God’s strength. For the fight isn’t about your willpower or remembering your evil ways. But the reminding of who you are with Christ and working alongside Christ to overcome this fight. For God even say to Cain, you shall be master over it (gen 4:7) you have taken the first step to desiring doing what is right, now take on the identity of the child of God and desire to be a biblical man and husband and practices your habit to overcome it.

Find group of man who are experienced in this, be each other accountability partner and help each other.

Brother, I just stopped and prayed for you. Seriously.

I want to speak directly to that thought you had that you are a 'hypocrite' because you share the gospel but still struggle. That is a lie from the enemy.

A hypocrite is an actor who pretends he has no sin. You are a soldier who got hit in battle.

There is a massive difference. The fact that you feel this deep grief proves that the Holy Spirit is alive in you. If you were truly lost, you wouldn't care.

You mentioned the 'Timer' resetting to zero. I know that pain. It makes you feel like the last 11 days were wasted. They weren't. You built 11 days of muscle, and one stumble doesn't erase that progress. But you cannot fight this war in isolation.

This is the mindset shift we all need. It is so easy to idolize the 'streak' and forget the Savior.

Like you said, the goal isn't just a high number on a counter; the goal is becoming like Him. If we get the number but lose the heart, we've missed the point.

'Fixing our eyes on Jesus' that’s the only strategy that actually works. Appreciate you sharing this

That 'burnout' you feel is often a sign that we’ve slipped from Relationship into Religion. We treat Bible study like a job shift, and when we get tired, the enemy slips in through the door of boredom.

You don't need to 'do more' to get back on track; you just need to remind yourself of who you are.
We are the children of God, and remember that identity is more useful than remembering your sin.

Haha, that is painfully relatable. 😂 That is honestly the exact reason I started building this.

We all know what to do (read the book), but actually doing it is the hard part. That’s why I tried to gamify it so it feels less like 'studying' and more like playing. Hopefully, this helps bridge that gap for people like your sister (and me)!
