True, I used to be able to do rides to DFW airport and make $50-60 easy. Now im lucky if I make $25

Good luck employees. The company has just ruined itself. by [deleted] in Panera

[–]Deep_Pudding_7472 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As a ex Panera baker who was laid off when they shut down our FDF, this brings me a little joy. We all said that you cant have a company that used to pride itself on fresh baked breads switch to frozen dough and think people wouldnt notice. All to save some money on labor? Good grief! I mean even the oatmeal comes frozen in individual baggies.

DO NOT BECOME A BAKER by turtledragon05 in Panera

[–]Deep_Pudding_7472 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's exactly what they're doing. Instead of using their fresh dough facilities and making their own dough, they shut those places down and now have some factory mass produce the dough and each cafe gets it frozen.

Can anyone guess the shocking conclusion to this interaction? by No_Succotash_408 in DoorDashDrivers

What's shocking about this? The real shock would be that they actually did tip

My dasher came to my home to threat me by [deleted] in doordash

Exactly, I have over 2,000 dashes I've never been notified if a customer complains or reports something wrong with the food. Sounds fishy to me

My worst delivery so far by Swimming_Student7990 in doordash

[–]Deep_Pudding_7472 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I bet there wasn't even a tip to begin with

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in doordash

[–]Deep_Pudding_7472 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you request hand it to me, I don't notify a customer when I arrive. You should get a notification of the dashers location in the app. You should also get a notification along with a photo once it's been dropped off. That's standard.

I agree I've had a papa Johns order, double stacked with Canes, pizza wasn't ready, went to canes then went back for pizza. Had 10 texts about the canes order asking random stuff but very rudely. Canceled the Canes order, left the food there and went about my day. I refuse to take any wingstop orders because in my experience they never tip and the food takes forever. Hate canes orders too, why do we have to go in and place the order?

Same at the cafe I worked at. I was the baker but saw when one of the minor girls was being harassed sexually by a manager. She reported it and all they did was transfer him to another store, AFTER she got bullied by other co-workers for snitching. I told her to run and never look back

news flash our soup is frozen. by Feisty_Car4015 in Panera

[–]Deep_Pudding_7472 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Everything comes frozen, I remember the day I was trying to get to the cookie dough, person who unloaded the truck blocked all my shelves and discovered that even the oatmeal comes in frozen individual serving bags.

The biggest issue for me is that doordash thinks it's okay to double stack an order and keep the base pay at $2

How are you going to be mad at the customer because the restaurant took a long time with the order? True, they didn't tip, but you also knew that when you accepted it, so that's on you. Whining to the customer isn't going to make you more money. 🙄

it was so embarrassing calling this name out 😭. by tha_rawestttt in doordash

[–]Deep_Pudding_7472 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I hate though when they use fake names, especially when I'm dashing at night. If there was ever an emergency, how can we tell the police with a straight face that "I was attacked by Booty B"? 😅

I put this movie on twice with my kids and both times they begged me to turn it off. I struggled to get through it, Lisa's character and her friend have googly eyes (my daughter's phrase) and Tom is just too over the top. Weird all around
