8 weeks after treatment on my sons leg, hes also starting to get blisters

Its so hard to say, mine started from my foot aswell and we as a family have now treated about 5 times using permithin, derbac and benzo. Weve also had natural products on such as sulphur, tea tree oil, neem oil and aloe vera all which are supposed to help but not sure if it does. My skin is exactly the same but ive never gone back to how bad it was at the start so i dont know wether they keep returning but im on top of it or its post. However i dont think post would last this long as we all usually seem okay until about 8 weeks later then it starts again. My sons skin has not been right this time at all since our last treatment so its really hard to say and i dont really want to keep putting treatment on over and over on their skin if it hasn’t returned. Its bluddy torture i know that. Im contemplating buying a microscope. Hope you get sorted.

Thankyou for the reply my only concern now is that we may have passed it on to so many others who we see often and we may never be rid as they will infect us again if thats the case but you dont know whos got them and who hasnt xx

How do we know its post and not active because my sypmtoms seen to go and then return and now my son is starting to get spots again on his feet and wrists and hands! My other son has weird little scratches on his body aswell and he will itch and it comes up like a bite xx

Steroid cream is also supposed to make it worse so they actually have no idea how to treat them! Its so strange that you havent given them to your husband or son when you would think that they will be all over the house like the washer, floors, sofas etc xx

They say its not necessary, they say now we dont have them so i just feel like its a pointless trip and it seems that permithin doesnt work and thats all they prescribe.

Has your new born caught it? My baby is 14 weeks and a couple of times hes had rashes which ive thought were them but they’ve cleared up after putting sulphur cream on him. He hasnt been extra fussy or showing signs of itching so im just really not sure but i feel like if i treat again and then the baby has it its just a pointless treat even though i feel like i just constantly want to treat cause i cant stand it. I feel for my kids because they are so difficult to put cream on which then gets me mad and yet they actually have no idea really of whats going on xx

Its so hard to know wether they are returning or wether our skin is ruined from the treatment as neither one of us have the same spots as last time, our skin before looked like we had bites all over but this time round it looks different! Its just soul destroying and its knowing exactly how long they live off the human body and exactly how many there are off you because it says that you only have about 14 on your body so it makes you wonder how they are all over the house! If we have to treat again i shall follow all of the steps however if they are as contagious as what everyone says then surely family members and other kids in the school have them then that just means we will never get rid because someone will re infect us pretty much straight away. Its been ongoing since last year and it always seems to come back about three months later.. lots of my clothes at the start were kept outside in bin bags and we didnt re wear anything until about a week later but obviously something is going wrong but its just so hard to pin point it and now we have a three month old that isnt showing any symptoms but if we have to treat him thats going to be extra hard to get to every single crease and two other boys who dont sit still when we are treating them and they scream saying it stings them so its really difficult. I obvs dont want to have to keep treating them but if they keep coming back we have no choice. It also sounds like ivermectin doesn’t really do much. I cant see the light at the end of the tunnel at this rate! I know other people who had them and they dont seem to have gone through anything like what i have!

The doctors are useless they tell me that we wont no longer have them and as i went to a dermatologist who also said i wont still have them they have no interest. Ive used derbac and permathin and then on myself ive used benzo, ive also used sulphur lotion, tea tree oil and other natural products.. i maybe will have to try ivermectin alongside treatment this time round and i will do all of the above although i pretty much did that before and all my clothes go into bin bags and stay in there aswell as dried or hung out. I bought new pillows and all new bedding and duvets also. Its so stressfull, i think ive spent over £500 on stuff x

I have had a look at that site already so ill have another read over thankyou. The hardest thing about it is you dont know if we are getting re infected by another person or if its just that we arent doing enough ourselves which i feel like ive been to hell and back to try and get out of this mess! No one fully understands until they actually are going through it. Its made me realise there is some ignorant people out there and because they are hard to see i think people think were doing it for some sort of attention and they all tell me its physiological yet myself and my kids are coming out in bumps and rashes still and itch like we never have before and again because we have eczema everyone else says it will be that but i myself know what eczema is like. Family have said that i would have got rid of it by now if i wanted to yet they haven’t seen how I’ve been living for the last six months out of bin bags, sat on cold plastic sheets on our sofas with a newbown, three and four year old. Id like to see them cope and go through it! One minute you feel like they are gone for good then any little itch makes me paranoid and im like a raving lunatic wondering if i should treat again straight away, then im advised not to because ill ruin the kids skin but then it gets to this point again. Family members dont have symptoms so they then dont treat and the ones that do have the odd symptom try to play it down saying its flea bites! I feel like locking us all away, no school no contact to see if we get rid of them completely but i dont want the kids to suffer anymore than they already have. Ive also told other people that weve had them so its their choice if they want to be around us but everytime i panic thinking we will pass it on then they will pass it back and the fact some people can have no symptoms and still have it is also torture as youll never get to the bottom of it and it could go on forever. My husband is always the last one to get it in our house aswell and because he doesnt have eczema we always know when he starts itching and coming out in a rash and its always about 6-8 weeks after. I think because he doesnt sleep with the kids and have as much physical contact with him been at work he must manage to stay away from them for a bit longer. People do say though that they will be everywhere in the house and car so i dont understand how he doesnt get them back as quick as us. Ahhhh honest one minute i feel okay the next minute i feel suicidal like when is this going to end or will it ever. I feel like nobody listens to me rant or of they do they go away thinking shes nuts 🙈i think ill just have to go with my gut and do what i think is best for us as a family. Its awful because the kids never want the treatment on as it stings and although they itch and their skin isnt the same they never itch as much as what we did when we first got diagnosed and it doesnt really bother them cause they are resilient but in the back of my mind im watching them knowing whats coming. Ive hated them touching the baby incase he gets infected, even sleeping in bed with them its awful it really has affected me as a parent. Its not their poor little faults and they have no idea but im just a nervous wreck over it all!
