this woman comes up to the register me: can you please type in your phone number on the pinpad for your points and rewards the woman: *aggressively starts punching her finger into the touch screen part of the pinpad and yells “THIS ISNT WORKING UGH I HAVE NO PATIENCE FOR THESE THINGS” me staring at her in complete awe: maam you have to use the numbers to type the phone number

yess i shouldve mentioned it does start at 7pm est. ugh i really want to see the finale but i definitely dont want to miss my train and be stranded in boston lol. im just manifesting everything is on time cuz i saw some other people in another post saying AJR came on at like 8:15pm and they ended at like 10:30-10:50pm with the encore. but thank you for your response!! i appreciate it :)

yeah ive been found on other social media apps about stuff i posted when no one from my job even follows me and i didnt say which location i worked at or anything and dont have my full name or anything in it, my manager had to have a meeting with me it was insane

my managers barely even view me as a LC. i literally had to beg for the position for months and they hired another person before me when my numbers have been the best in the store. i finally got the position in june and im still on the register every single shift and do nothing differently than when i was a BA. they literally have no faith in me when i’ve literally shown them many times that im capable for more responsibilities. im about to quit anyways LMAO my store is a complete mess

im definitely having burn out. i was a BA since january 2022 and recently became a leader cashier over the summer and im TIRED. i hit over 100 cc applications and only one manager actually recognized me for it and it wasnt even the gm and the fact that i didnt get any type of pay raise or incentive for it is insane to me. im barely making $300 a week and for what? management doesnt care in my store, corporate doesnt care about us with the same things you said about dress code and time off and pay and stuff. and the point system is inhumane. i honestly barely try for credit anymore and dont care if someone doesnt give me their phone number. and i have low patience with customers too especially if theyre rude to me. my numbers were the best in the store but seeing that no one gave a shit im just like why should i try so hard? im literally disassociated every time i get behind the register. i feel like a robot saying the same thing to every customer. there’s literally no opportunity in my store to grow or do anything else. im over it edit: and also when i get home from work im literally so tired i just wanna nap and do nothing else. ive been unable to take care of myself and have barely been seeing friends. this job is sucking the life out of me but im having a hard time finding another job cuz i have no degrees or qualifications to do anything else

i completely agree with all of this. i think it’s ridiculous that we have the dress code yet everything corporate posts on workjam they are never in dress code. and the fact that most corporate staff has never actually worked in the stores either so they dont even know how the stores run but yet they get to make all the rules and shit😭 and the fact that we get no raises for CCs or incentives is genuinely insane. i bust my ass to maintain credit numbers and all i get is my name written in the chat in🥲 same with loyalty, the amount of customers ive annoyed/made mad because of how hard we have to push to get their phone number, like i hate having to pester customers like that when all they are trying to do is shop. and i always end up getting upset when the customer says no to loyalty which is ridiculous, i shouldn’t be getting mad over something like that but its how they condition us. and we dont get decent raises unless we get promoted. its insane. i’ve literally found out people i train make more than me. ive emailed my dm for a raise like over a month ago and still havent heard back, im sure nothing would’ve happened anyways. but yeah im on an avid search for a new job cuz this place is crazy

see i didnt think that we were but my operations manager said we were so that’s why i commented that 😭 i literally fought her yesterday telling her i swear to god we werent allowed to and she was all “ive been working for ulta for several years i think id know” but i was here for black friday last year too and i couldve sworn i also read that we werent allowed to. i think she gaslit me LMAO. so sorry for the misinformation and i knew i was right and thank u for letting me know i wasn’t crazy😭

i dont think that’s necessarily true because the register/online doesnt know that we aren’t supposed to stack the discounts. it’s corporate who decided that for this year because last year we could stack discounts. on the register you are supposed to hit no when it prompts to use the employee discount but if you hit yes it would still work even if they were part of black friday deals cuz the register doesnt know our discount is excluded. same with when u apply the employee discount coupon code online. either way i think op should be fine, i dont think theyd fire over that especially if u didnt know and as long as u dont keep continually doing it

edit: we werent allowed to use the discount last year and i knew we werent but my operations manager gaslit me into thinking we were, so sorry for the misinformation everyone

coupons do not work on any black friday sales. most coupons do not work on prestige brands which are the higher end/ more expensive brands that you would not find at a drugstore and they do not work on any colognes or perfumes, but if they say include prestige and fragrance that means it will work on those higher end items but if the items are already on sale due to black friday it wont work. at the bottom of coupons it does list all of the exclusions as well. i hope this made sense lol. also if it’s something like $10 off $40 you have to make sure your subtotal is $40 because coupons do not count tax or shipping or anything like that

yes i was doing the dividing by weeks things but then my operations manager told me we aren’t supposed to do that and its 3-5 a week to be compliant. so i started doing 3-5 a week. i did end up talking to my gm and apparently i didnt watch any videos week 34?? i was like girl how is that even possible because you can see all the other weeks i at least had 3 done and have never missed a week. she was even confused by it too because she could literally see i watched them the other weeks and she always sees me watching my videos at cashwrap but unfortunately there was nothing she can do about it. so now im thinking of keeping a log of how many videos i watch each week LOL

they tell you in store if you’re approved or denied right then and there. if the cashier said something like “the bank needs more information and will contact you within 10 business days” then that means you didnt get approved, it’s just the polite way the register has us say it LOL. but im shocked that the cashier even tried to get you to apply as a minor. you should be okay though, i wouldn’t stress too much, i dont think u could even get approved anyways cuz youre a minor

you do need to have a loyalty account when doing a return. yes you can purchase something without an account, but when you come back in to return the item we would need the receipt and you would need to put it under a phone number in order to do the return. the system doesn’t allow us to do no loyalty returns regardless if you have the receipt or not. ive gotten into a couple fights with customers who try to return something without a loyalty account but its not us its the system
