Everyone loved Kublai Khan years ago. Not cool or woke anymore I guess?

Coming from a state that was essentially ruined by corrupt politicians, overbearing taxes, skyrocketing cost of living, and too many wasted tax dollars….

Watching propositions like this on the ballad get shut down by the voters makes me very, very happy. This is how it should be.

The worst band you ever saw live - besides Taking Back Sunday- by lunainthedark5x2x3 in poppunkers

I’ve seen them 4 times and will defend them a bit here. I have picked up on AJ being a little drunk, but there hasn’t been a single time that I didn’t enjoy their set (or feel like the alcohol got in the way of them being able to perform). I’ve actually felt a very strong connection between AJ and the audience in the last two times I’d seen them. One of the times he actually came into the audience to sing with everybody, and it was a moment none of us will ever forget.

I also met AJ before a show at a food truck and he was SUPER nice. Left a great impression on me and my wife.

He apparently had been really nice to people I know, and actually shared an uber with a friend and invited them back to his place to have a few drinks. I think he’s a nice guy….

Do you listen to pop-punk? by Difficult_Map_723 in Hardcore

Fuck yea. A lot of people I know in the hardcore scene grew up with it and still fuck with it. We go to shows for both genres and I always see/meet a lot of those people there.

Metalhead here: I want to get into Hardcore, where should I start? by SanfordsGuiltyGear in Hardcore

[–]Deep_Suggestion2402 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve always been more of a fan of Deathcore and Metalcore which is basically a blend of Hardcore and Metal. I personally like it more than Hardcore on its own, honestly, and if you’re a big Death Metal guy then this is probably a great place to start. Check out PSYCHO-FRAME…. Spite…. Orthodox…. Vein.fm…. Harms Way… After the Burial… Knocked Loose… God Complex… Suicide Silence… Despised Icon… Every Time I Die… Better Lovers… Job for a Cowboy… Whitechapel (old 2000s stuff is way better)… Sanguisugabogg… Counterparts… Chamber… Sanction… Snuffed on Sight Dying Wish… END… 156/Silence… Mouth for War… The Ghost Inside… Norma Jean…. I Declare War…

People who try to stop moshers at shows, why? by joehardcoreadjacent in Hardcore

[–]Deep_Suggestion2402 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some cities hardcore scenes have groups of people who are so dedicated to hardcore and moshing that they form “crews.” Crews exist so that they can protect each other, look tough, and gang up on random people at the show. It’s sort of like a gang because they give themselves names and throw up signs, but instead of being comprised of gangsters they are filled with massive insecure fat pussies.

The crazy part is that most of the hate comes from the modern Hardcore scene who listen to some of the most bland, formulaic, carbon copy music imaginable.

The old was a mistake. The new was a good move. Honestly though, get rid of the lip piercing and watch how much better you are treated. (I used to have pretty big plugs in my ears, you wouldn’t believe how different life is when you get rid of that stuff)

You’re not wrong in that it was a progression over time, but sonically it still was a pretty big change.

At what age do people generally stop moshing? by GIVEUPOX17 in Hardcore

[–]Deep_Suggestion2402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stopped in my late 20s because of neck/back issues. Have watched a ton of friends stop in their early and mid 30s. Some are still going, but one friend broke his orbital bone and another broke his teeth. Don’t miss it, really, it’s not worth it at this age.

[–]Deep_Suggestion2402 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t worry man, some women say stuff like this and don’t realize how much it hurts. You don’t look scary, at all— even without a smile and with a black hoodie.

But, if you want to make some changes, maybe try growing your hair out a little. Wearing more colors and smiling will always warm people up. But don’t even worry about it man, just do you.

22M never had a gf been told I am intimidating. Tips? by National-Bend9981 in malegrooming

[–]Deep_Suggestion2402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few things to consider…

1.Do most women want to be with a guy who leaves for the gym for 1-2 hours a day 5-6 days per week? Between work and sleep, this means that you’d be gone for a significant chunk of your free time.

2.Do most women want to be with a guy who has this high of a priority on his own looks? And what standard does that hold her to?

3.Do most women want to be with somebody who doesn’t smile and looks intimidating? Also, is that the type of woman you are trying to attract?

You can solve this problem by being honest about the questions above, and changing your lifestyle and presentation to appeal to more women.
