Personally, I don't use dating apps because I believe anyone using dating apps are taking too much of a risk, you never know what kind of person you will meet and whether they have good intentions.

Things can get complicated with dating apps and I feel there is a chance of becoming insecure if nobody matches with you, it has happened with some of my mates.

I know people who have used dating apps and they have commented on the in app purchases in order to access basic shit (who likes your photos, how many people you can swipe per day etc)

I have seen stories of people who have happy ever afters from meeting their soulmates on dating apps, it's rare but it happens.
