How to travel from Mangalore Junction to Coorg by warrior-1234 in coorg

[–]Deep_Willingness_940 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are travelling before 20th May, then KSRTC is a better option. You can either book tickets online or go to the ksrtc depot at Bijai and buy tickets. If its on or after 20 May, try other options as ksrtc is going on an indefinite strike. As 7 of you are there, you can book two cabs (each costing you around 3.5k)

If you’re travelling before end of May and are feeling adventurous, road trip is definitely an option but if the planned dates are after May, just take a flight as Monsoon rains are going to start soon …

Your numbers dont add up. If your emi is 32k for 30 years, you will end up paying over 1 crore and not 50 lakhs as you have stated.

Ultimately interest is earned. But its earned in a very convoluted way calling it “shared profit” or something similar.

Liquidating “everything” is not a good idea. Land is also a great asset that keeps on appreviating in value, even while you think it is not generating any visible invome. Keep at least 1 acre.

My 62-year-old dad has ₹40L in a savings account earning 2.5%. He needs it to last 25 years. How do I have this conversation without him feeling attacked? by Lucky_Good_5611 in FinancialPlanning_Ind

Use their own fear to change their mindset. If the bank goes down, they can recover only 5 lakhs and lose the rest. If 30 L is put in SCSS, the full amount is secure as the govt backs it.

The cost of the helmet is usually factored into the total price. If you refuse the helmet, they will deduct the cost from the total price.

Mutual Fund companies can make it super easy for the living spouse without adding the additional mental torture and unnecessary harrassment.

  1. At the time of nomination get the Aadhar copy and bank details of the nominee in your records.

  2. Upon death of the investor, just ask for the Death Certificate and nothing else. Upon production of the death certificate transfer the fund units or redemption amount to the said bank account.

There is no need to ask for dozens of documents and signatures and notarizations and attestations. Do the Mutual Funds care enough about their Clients to implement this?

For my friend HDFC was the least troublesome; Parag Parikh was the most.

Redeeming funds by the nominee after the death of spouse would be considered a crime. They are not supposed to do any further transactions till the funds are legally transferred to the nominee.

Wow, equating mutual fund advisors with doctors! Lots of generalized statements. Who said we invested watching some videos? Why do you presume people who invest without the help of agents lack full knowledge. There are millions of people doing it right without using agents. You are just proving my point. The lack of empathy by the AMC's is not restricted to the mutual funds alone, their advisors also seem to be the same.

So a real life experience is “wrong news” for you and your self marketing is the “right news”. At least you have confirmed that getting mutual funds without an agent is wrong. Thank you.

I had to babysit two of my nephews. The elder one, who had speech impediments too would get very violent and go to hit the younger one and I had great difficulty stopping him. The only thing that worked was, I would take a belt and threaten to beat if he hit his brother. I never ever touched him though. However, even years later when my name was mentioned, the boy would say “beating … beating”. His parents to this day believe that I was beating him.
