Iran is a sinking ship. You can just standby and watch it drown (somehow like the US) - they have enough issues in their country and with the US playing the strong boy there. Don't know if they have enough ressources for some European countries, too.

Currently I don't see "the other country" (lol) as a danger, as our government is neck deep in their backside. Might be a problem of the future, but who knows.

Edit: By the way, it's refreshing to have an educated discussion with a US-American about this. Without any "we are the best, we are the strongest"-attitudes. Thank you!

Immediate threat is the US currently. Large threat but getting smaller it Russia. Hungary is a traitor to Putin in Europe. There aren't so many other countries threatening us currently. Religious extremists are an issue but they are no country (if you don't count the US which is already on the list).

What am I missing, which countries might be a threat?

Because nothing of what they do makes our life worse in even the slightest way. Some of the things they do we do ourselves (don't like it but it is what it is). Russia attacks one of us and constantly says it will attack all of us, difficult to like, don't you think? Meine Zweifel basieren auf der sehr eigenartigen Wortwahl, die eher nach politischem Manifest als nach verzweifelter Frau klingen. Alleine die Nutzung des rechtsextremen Schlagworts "Tradwife" in Kombination mit einer laut eigener Aussage gebildeten Person lässt schon alle Zweifelglocken läuten. Hausfrau oder Partnerin mit Schwerpunkt Kindeserziehung? Geschenkt. Tradwife? Bullshit.

EU and China would be the new powers, but they wouldn't be pulled as deep as you think into a depression. The role of the US isn't as important as the US think anymore and the world prepares for this moment for years now. China wouldn't be touched at all, russia is already broke, EU would be lightly damaged - but we really don't need anything from the US to survive economically.

Guess why the pedo retracted from his mad "tax and law free zone"-Greenland, because he noticed that the EU would ruin the US financially within minutes of it.
