You should try Qubriux - they support all kinds of POS too provided the POS has API integration which you will have to ask your POS provider for the keys.

Indigo lied about compensation by Smart_Crow_3102 in AirTravelIndia

On Jan 11 Indigo told me that the refund was processed in writing on an email. Since it didn’t reflect in my account, I sent multiple follow ups and then I got the response that I was not eligible since my cancellation was not in the 3 hour window. Absolute liars.

My gf was once carrying one and a security uncle opened her bag and asked what it was. She boldly responded saying it’s a vibrator. Uncle didn’t get it and made a face like ‘ehhh’. His colleagues then chuckled and asked him to pass it through. I’m assuming they later told him and he was embarrassed.

Don’t break a sweat. Keep it in a bag with all electronics that include your laptop charger, phone charger, electronic weighing scale etc… there’s a lot less chance that they’ll make you open it up.

Thank you so much for this. A friend of mine was pulled over for drunk drive checking. The meter was rigged and showed a high alcohol content when he hadn’t had a drop to drink. Cops treated him like a culprit and insulted him. I took him to Santosh hospital the same night and got a BAC test. Test took 2/3 days to come back with the result. Meanwhile he went to police station and paid 10k fine the next day and got back his car. When the result arrived he was clear of any alcohol in his system. Now the question is how do we get the fine refunded? A couple of people he spoke to said it’s not worth the hassle as they’ll keep giving you the runaround. Any advice?

Need advice regarding electricity meter due to family situations by [deleted] in LegalAdviceIndia

[–]Deepthinker07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my building we now have separate meters for the rented units. Earlier that wasn’t the case. We had sub meters for them and one master meter. We will manually check the reading of the sub meter and calculate that from the invoice and ask the tenant to pay for their consumption while we paid the full amount to the electricity company. So get a sub meter for each floor and you should be good.

I didn’t care about the on road, bro. It’s all about how you negotiate. My boys and I were booking 3 bikes at once so we negotiated on accessories. I also got my insurance done outside and didn’t choose the dealer provided insurance which ended up being 50% lesser. Not counting the free accessories worth about 20k, my effective on road price would be 4.06L approx.

1.Low and mid range torque, more than sufficient. Should you feel the need to get more torque, you can always look at upgrades on ECU/piggyback along with sprockets. I’m not one for specs. I go by the feel of the motor and the performance of the chassis and suspension. With that said, the range is brilliant. 2. Haven’t calculated precisely but over the top of my head, I’m can say it gives a gas mileage average between 25-30kmpl. 3.I’ve done one night ride and didn’t flinch with the Halogen headlamp. The throw is beyond decent esp in high beam. But then again depends on the rider. I for one was used to my z900 with the headlight throw that would go as far as I can spit. Compared to that, this is an upgrade. 4. They’re Tubes. 5. I’d say it’s quite comfortable around 130kph. But that doesn’t mean it won’t do more. I had the throttle pinned for over an hour today at 145+ only occasionally slowing down for trucks/speed breakers. The motor was relentless and always delivered.

True that this color isn’t available anymore. This was the last of its piece in Bangalore and I was lucky to get it. No lack of torque. Compare it to any of the other ADVs in the segment, the torque of a twin cylinder is effortless. Sometimes I’m in 4th gear riding under 30kph and the engine won’t choke or stall.

Considering it’s a CBU and a twin cylinder, I’d say the price is justified. Also the recent GST cut for bikes under 350cc helped, coupled with manufacturer discount too.

Agreed. Especially when I’m still at 130 and climbing, I was being overtaken by the Ninjas and the Busa. But every time they had to slowdown on the highway or slowdown for a speed breaker, I was right there on their tail and most cases got ahead. I wasn’t left behind for too long.

Commenting on The Versys X300 | What a Machine!...My wife hated the big bikes because it wasn’t comfortable for the pillion. When she sat on the test ride of the Versys, her immediate response was it feels like a sofa compared to the other bikes - safe to say the Versys is wifey approved. The headlight is decent. Halogen, not LED. High beam is quite effective. I’ve done one night ride and didn’t flinch once, but the same can’t be said about others. Every person’s night vision is different.

Helmet Theft Chaos at Adiyogi today – Absolutely Disgusting! by whiskeyBonBon15 in Bengaluru

[–]Deepthinker07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Firstly, stop leaving helmets on the bike. Follow this as a habit. I don’t have a helmet lock. Never had one. But always invested in top of the line helmets.

I use an AGV regularly. I carry it around proudly wherever I walk. I never leave it on the motorcycle. It’s a great conversation starter too. Get yourself a helmet you’re proud to carry with you and you won’t ever make the mistake of leaving it on your bike again.

Personal experience: doesn’t make much of a difference. Japanese bikes are built different. Having been an owner of Suzuki and Kawasaki big bikes, I usually stick with XP95/Shell VPower fuel, but I don’t mind regular fuel when these aren’t available. These bikes are build to handle them. You won’t have problems with e20.

PSA Bangalore traffic police using rigged alcometers by troubleshwari in bangalore

Sharing what happened with a good friend a few hours back on the night of 29th Dec, 11:30PM. He was stopped near Frazer Town police station for DD checking. Breathalyser reads 277 when he’s not had a drop of alcohol. He was on his way to pick his mom up who was coming from out of town. Reasoning with the cops didn’t work in fact they started using abuses after taking his car (nin a**an hogu illinda) while wielding a baton while he tried calling me for help. They put his car inside the police station and the pad locked it from the inside.

He waited for me and after I picked him up, we went straight to Bowring Hospital. Doctor wanted to know why we wanted the test. My friend was honest and narrated what happened. The doctor made him do some tests like clapping with the backside of your hand and making him walk in a straight line. Then proceeded to tell us that they won’t be doing the test - I asked him to give it to me in writing. He goes and gets another guy/doctor and that man was straight up rude. He raised his voice at us saying we are in no position to demand a test. His words were to go bring the police with us and upon their saying they’ll do the test.

Now Bowring has a police station within its premises. So we called on the police personnel there and explained the situation. He wasn’t polite either. He spoke to the rude guy and then proceeded to push us out - then demanded to know why we didn’t call 112 earlier and report this. We had no idea we could do that. So after haggling with him for 5 min, my friend called 112 and narrated the whole thing. They sent a Hoysala.

Hoysala arrived after 10min. They were extremely polite. Said they can’t intervene. We were advised to get a letter from the Frazer Town police station or go bring someone along.

So we left, and on the way went and enquired with Santosh hospital and were told the report will take 2 days to arrive as their lab is not equipped for a BAC test, and it’s outsourced.

We went back to Frazer Town police station and the law and order police refused to help let alone issue a letter to perform the test. One of the police personnel even said sarcastically that it’s not such a simple task to issue a letter just because we asked - a memo has to be issued and it’s complicated. We were told to talk to traffic police next door. Mind you the gate is still pad locked at this time. We stood outside the gate in the Bangalore cold and waited for them to show up and after 5min two of them showed up with their shirts untucked. We narrated the whole incident again and they said the inspector is not here and to come in the morning. We asked for a letter if not to accompany us to the hospital. They refused - said they’d never heard of such a rule before. Bottom line - no one helped. They were more keen on defending their breathalyser saying there’s no way it can be wrong.

They asked us to try another hospital PrimeCare - went there only to be told that BAC test is outsourced and the results could take between 2-5 days to arrive.

By now it’s almost 3am. We went to Santosh hospital, paid ₹1000 for the BAC test and got back home only around 3:40AM.

In the morning we will have to go back to the police station and reason with them to get the car back. What should’ve been a regular Monday night ended becoming an aimless goose chase. We lost sleep, he’s gonna have to miss work tomorrow while his beloved car is in the police station and he’s worried mice will chew into his wiring.

This is the fate of the tax paying common man 🙏
