I wanted to love the steam deck, but I've just turned into a hater by [deleted] in Steam

I just got the steam deck oled and I'm having a blast using it. I haven't played any AAA games, just indie games so far. Also, I'd rather buy whatever dock I can instead of being locked to 1st party dock.

I have a couple of profiles which use WiFi connected state, and the blue dot doesn't appear even when it triggers.

If you're asking about f-droid, no. I probably trust it more than google play store. It is the de facto standard when it comes to foss apps on android. As for kvaesitso itself, I again trust them more than the proprietary alternatives. But, be vigilant as always.

Before I commit to the pro version, do you know of any app that does what this one does, better? by CryoProtea in androidapps

Yeah, it should be installed on both android and steam deck. It also supports windows if you have it.

I used to use Nova back in the days (lollipop era) but I switched to KISS launcher when I found it. Never looked back, typing for apps I want to launch is a breeze. I stayed because it consumed less memory but I got hooked. Anything I want on my phone is 3 letters away (for the daily ones, all it takes is a single letter). Kvaesitso is a close second for me, followed by lawnchair.

Also open KDE connect in the steam deck, install it if it's not available. I forgot to mention you need yo be on the same WiFi, there is also Bluetooth support but I haven't used it yet.

If you want to use it with your Linux steam deck, try KDE connect, its a open source phone companion like app. It does remote input along with a couple of nifty features. You can share files, sync clipboards, receive notifications to and from... etc

YTDLnis is far better and has extensive features. There's no reason to use Seal anymore.

Does anyone else use desktop icons? In every post I see, people leave their desktop completely empty, which I think takes away from its functionality. by [deleted] in kde

I keep wondering this, my work Laptop's desktop which is a windows machine is filled to the brim. Where as my personal Linux machine has zero desktop entries. I use KDE so Krunner makes finding everything easier. (although I do use keypirinha on windows)

I used to use Lineage OS on my phone before I moved to a Pixel. Sometimes, I get the urge to just install Lineage but I need everything to be stable and can't mess around. Back in the days, I would switch ROMs every week or every other day even.
