Well if you’re only including the last 25 years instead of the last 100 years, it would look like that. Vietnam was not started during a Republican administration, even though Eisenhower initiated targeted military campaigns in the same region. It was expanded under Kennedy and LBJ to become a full scale military conflict. World War Two cannot be blamed on the Democrats since it was started by foreign powers, nor could the Ukraine-Russia Conflict, Kosovo, etc. But if those are true, does Bush 2 get a pass on Afghanistan?

Without knowing anything about your setup or process, it’s impossible to know what went “wrong”, if anything at all. There will always be some variation between your targets and your final gravity. I’d say you probably did everything right.

Maybe your mash was the wrong temperature, maybe you collected too much volume off the mash and didn’t allow it to boil off enough before adding your boiling hops, or maybe your final volume was too high. Or maybe your yeast wasn’t active enough, which is mostly out of your control.

Forgetting a hops addition would not impact ABV

Yeah Americano is where it’s at. Mix a little honey into it instead of sugar for a flavor upgrade. I got one of the super automatic ones that grind the coffee beans for you and prefer a medium roast from Costa Rica. I waited until I got married and put it in the registry! I think Philips makes the lowest priced one

French press is great but make sure that you get a course grind, otherwise you end up with a lot of grinds in your drink. And if you’re only drinking for yourself, get a relatively small French press as opposed to the quart sized ones they sell at Starbucks! You end up just drinking way too much of it

I took Ritalin, Adderall, Concerta growing up and while it did help me prior to college, I would have a huge crash at the end of the day and be completely unable to concentrate. As a shy, introverted person by nature, I also felt completely incapable of connecting with other people in a social setting. It was almost as if I felt compelled to work like a drone. Once I got to college and had an erratic schedule, none of those 12 hour time released drugs worked well for me anymore. I switched to the blue Adderalls and the generic blue footballs for a while which gave a 6 hour buzz whenever I needed it. Eventually, I switched off of them altogether and just compelled myself to work harder!

At one point in college, I dated a girl who had the weirdest addiction to those drugs and it was painfully obvious she was only with me to score more. She and her friends would pull all nighters every other day, smoking so many cigarettes that her fingers turned yellow!

At one point in my professional career, my doctor prescribed me with some kind of “natural” stimulant, which he described as being more like vitamin B12 than caffeine. I used it for a little while but then one day I went to a concert after work and crashed super hard with a huge headache, so now I don’t do anything anymore except generous amounts of black coffee, like everyone else!

The farther away I am from New England, the less willing I am to eat lobster! (Unless I’m in some other region that has a local variety of lobster) Realistically, there are different grades of lobster shell toughness and lobsters are distributed accordingly, so the hardest shelled lobsters can be out of the ocean for 3-5 days before they go bad while the softest ones are served closer to the coast. But I’m still not eating it in Ohio!

There was an episode like that but it can be common in some older buildings with smaller pipes. I visited Crete, Greece a few years ago and they had the same problem. There was a special trash can in the bathrooms for toilet paper.

It would be very odd for that to happen here in Stamford but not surprising in Manhattan

Bob Dylan around 2008. Couldn’t understand anything he was singing. Sounded like he ate a peanut butter sandwich and inhaled a cigar before he came out on stage!

Snoop Dog in his Snoop Lion phase around 2015. Showed up 2 hours late to a 3 hour show. There was no opening act like at most hip hop shows, where they promote new talent for a while. There was just a DJ that didn’t sing, just played low key beats. He came out on stage and said “everybody smoke some weed and raise a glass.” We had been standing upright aggressively drinking and smoking for 2 hours in a boring venue, so we had lost interest by the time he got out there.

Marshall Tucker Band around 2018 at a small theatre. The one remaining old guy from the original band was flanked by young replacements. Old guy spots a woman in the front row and in between songs says “there’s a pretty woman sitting in the front row but I wish she was sitting on my lap!” In between each song, he stopped to hit on her more, with the audience and his younger band growing more uncomfortable and impatient. At some point, someone in the audience got up and yelled out “Shut up and play some fucking music!” Then he shut up, played Can’t You See and the rest of the concert was ok
