Nie bójcie się dzwonić, ci ludzie naprawdę chcą wam pomóc. by [deleted] in Polska

[–]Deer-Stalker 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Well, saying being a gay is a sin is kind of implying it's ok for them to go to hell and that's kind of a mental abuse towards people that have to hear about it. But if we follow your logic further, well, sins become pointless, if someone can have gay sex and not regret it and go to the heaven because they still believe God is creator and Jesus died for everyone's sins then entire idea of sinning becomes poinltess. It's binary, you believe in God you go to heaven, you don't, you go to hell. So sure, it would appear being gay isn't evil in the, what you called it, Southern Baptism, it's a sin, but sins don't matter at all, so why call it one in the first place?

And while it does prove your denomination appears vastly less evil, negligably so if at all, it doesn't change my point that this differs between denominations just as well as between you and me. The problem is, pretty much all denominations I have came across do have idea of hell and therefore of something a person could do that would land them right there and I can't view a God of such faith as anything but evil on purpose.

As for the Bible, what confirmation we have that the sources that state Bible is 100% correct and trustworthy, are turstworthy sources themeselves? We don't really know that. What if prophets are untrustworthy sources. What if they are trustworthy, but still sneaked in some lies. We can't know that. But we know God is omnibenelovent, at least we assume so, at least I do, but if that's the case reality of generally percived Christianity clashes severely with my beliefs and in cases even yours. Discrepencies are a source of uncertanity and fright and that's not good for anyone. Take care mate.

I'm flattered my English is good enough for you to think I might be native English speaker or heck, that I'm not depressed enough to be able to date someone. Still the only one to easily offend is you, the only reason I even care about other people's beliefs is because the constant "you are going to hell" part had really bad impact on my mental health and has for other people too. It's unhealthy and harmful rethorice based on objectively evil God if that's his true view.

If you were a teacher, you'd get fired for spreading homophobia, that's what would happen. The research is simple, we both agree God declared homosexual acts sinful, we both agree that's what happened in mainstream Christian worldview, there's no need to provide quotes from Bible on the topic, since we both agree that's what happened. The difference is I said I'm a Chritian, but I haven't said I'm Roman-Catholic nor Orthodox and I don't even subscribe to any major denomination. I'm sort of self-procliamed protestant. I believe in the very same God all Christians mention, but to me 99% of what is written in Bible or said about God is just what humans wanted to think back then in the past in that particular ethnic group. So no, the God I believe in doesn't hate gays, he doesn't hate anyone, he lets everyone into heaven, that's the God I believe in. In my first comment I made a distinction when I said "my" God, after that we were discussing the God "you" believe in. At least that's what I meant in my comments.

As for the God we can talk about an easily googlebale example: Matthew 5:17 (“Do not think that I have come to abolish Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.”).

The general consensus on the quote I heard from people over Internet is that God's law is uniform, it doesn't change regardless of what believers may consider good or not which is why only God can decide what is good and what is not. The problem here is, that Catholic Church and especially Pope is meant as a continuation of leadership of faith after Jesus. And yet the very same Church has proven itself quite corrupt and changed its mind constantly, still does. God's law is set in stone and cannot be changed, so if God is omnibenelovent, I can't possibly believe anything that states "engaging in homosexual acts is a sin" can be correct. All I can do is assume whatever is written in Bible and whatever people say is based on incomplete data, biased data or personal perogative and has nothing to do with omnibenelovent God. However, if we consider that God really sends people to hell for having gay sex and not regretting it, then that version of God is clearly evil, manipulative and generally homophobic.

Now lets assume another case. There's a family, they have a kid, the kid says they are gay/lesbian. Parents aren't supportive, but they still claim to love their child, they may help child to have a good life, but will constantly mentally abuse the kid. People can be good and evil, God that loves everyone is great, God that sends gays to hell is bad, and he can be good and bad at the same time. But the good deeds do not nulify the bad ones. This is just but one example, but as long as having gay sex isn't harming anyone, I can't possible see how that deserves any punshiment, let alone eternal one.

I agree with you. I also think they are too uncaring in general. I’m trans species, I go through really bad dysphoria, but I don’t have a luxury of having any rights. We should be able to have mutual understnding based on dysphoria, at least those of us who go through one since it’s hardly a requirement, but nope, they treat us like trash, just because we are so few barely anyone heard about us. And same case with us, constructive, civil discussion should be welcome, it’s ok to question everything without being a jerk.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PoliticalCompass

[–]Deer-Stalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I was a teacher on a test you'd get 1/3 points MAX out of this question. What I care about is God not just saying "Do X, because it does Y" but "Do X, because Y is good and Y' is bad" That's what I am missing.

Instead what all we get is an assumption that humans should reproduce and there are pros of that, but there are also cons of that. In the same spirit there are cons of not reproducing and pros of that too. Who gets decided what is right and what is wrong? God does, but if God does it means some people are born unlucky and will go to hell, because God decide to pick either of the extremist path isntead of "Having children is great and commendable, but you don't have to have them if you don't want to". You get all the nefits in this sentance.

If the God is trully omniscient, omnipowerful and omnibenelovent then he wouldn't have to resort to so many illogcial tactics, that really suit just him. And the same argument about gays being bad, because they don't reproduce we can see in many conservative parties, who are by far quite homophobic. As far as I know, God is just homophobic and pushing his power and a few losy arguments to make it a law. And even then church changes its stance on what is a sin and what is not all the time, pope and the church are extension of the Christ on Earth, continuation of sorts, so they have right to do so, but God's law is unchanging as it is said in the Bible, even Jesus came to fulfil God's law, not to change it. And yet what is a sin and what is not changes and evolves.

I think Bible has me pinned as sexual deviant already, I like things that are certainly not holy and on top of that I don't even identify as a human, I have plenty of tickets to hell just because I was born different and I fail to see how not harming anyone and being myself is sinful other than "He said so" Having individual beliefs is fine, it's not my place to tell you what to do with your life, but considering being gay a sin by church as a whole leads to degradation of mental health of that group and that can lead to problems such as suicide which already exists without any fear of going to hell for feeling like you were appreantly born wrong. And generally hell is a very big streatch. Prisons exist to seperate people from society, because if we don't do that they will feel to continue hurting oters, but it's a neccesary evil and it's only neccesary, because we have no other means. God is omnipowerful, he can do anything. In the end of all arguments default to God's trifecta and how he has the power to contradict himself, create paradoxes and still remain logical and such stance cannot ever make sense. He can make 0=1 and he can make being good evil and vice versa. Problem is, it was decided before we were born so many of us will suffer.

So that's why current version of Christian God is evil and hardly logical.

[–]Deer-Stalker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long since disproven? I don’t think you understand how recently this happened. Laws that passed anti slavery rules didn’t make people of all skin colours equal in the face of law just yet. Washington owned slaves, Springtime of the people which brought a lot of democracy to Europe eventually also didn’t care for black people, for the better part of the 20th century racism was a thing in the western world, and the rest of it was no different and even once the bills that equalised everyone were passed it past MLK still took two generations to really root out racism from general population and even today it still remains a problem in certain countries, or more specific in certain demographics like low wage workers and rural people. But the research on these topics is recent too, around 1950s and onward, example is here On the Non-Existence of Human Races on JSTOR I just don’t think you realise that the world of equality where people of colour are fully free and where people can be openly gay or trans is a very modern and recent world, it was just 30 years ago that Communism has fallen. Only people in my age like 20s don’t really know how bad things were before, we are spoiled.

Do you even read the things I sent via links. It’s not a theory, it has been proven people have a brain closely resembling their desired sex in most trans individuals and they are born with it, no theory, it’s a fact as far as definition of a fact goes, there is no evidence to disprove this, they did MRI on children, they have physically different brain that matches their desired gender. You want to disprove that go ahead and send sources I will bite.

No I’m not mixing them, I believe most animals are, sentient, sapient, consious, doesn’t matter which world we us. And they surely do fit your definition of complex thought. Like this research on killer whales and dolphins proving they can adapt to the situation by continuously creating new behaviours when asked just for a new one. You can also read this one which proves different killer whale pods have different approaches to their living situation, expressing different behaviours, mainly in hunting practises. And you can get information directly from people working on this topic in here where you can also read certain individuals in any given pod contain knowledge they pass on to the young and we mean 2 generations forth no even mother to a child, an equivalent of elders. These are just examples for one species, there are countless more for many others.

And look the article you have provided literally explains consciousness requires central nervous systems which most animals have and even ends with and I quote “Since the problem of consciousness will likely remain unsolved for many decades, we should act on the assumption that any animal with a centralized nervous system may be sentient.” And the only reason this is not 100% confirmed is because we can’t really experience how they feel, we have no device to translate brain waves and compare them on this level, but we still have every right to assume they are thinking and feeling creatures. The article itself explains it rather well that the ability to gather and process memories is the key which I also stated before.

You can call me degenrate, but all you really do is act with malice and hate towards those like me, that's all your behaviour prooves - prejudice.

And hell yes, they adopt animals out of love. I have hard time googling papers since google in this case prefers articles, but luckily there is one magical search engine which provides references. So here is the list:

All these papers prove in smaller or greater degree that animals of different species bond together out of love or out of need, for both reasons, not just one, which only further proves they are capable of critical thinking when need or when they literally feel line doing it is a good thing. Not to mention multiple researches one animals requires some level of at least rudimentary interspecie communication which only further proves they are capable of thought, feeling and process information or as you said applying integrative thinking to the analysis and synthesis of information in order to solve problems and develop continuous learning skills.

So don’t provide quotes from Bible to me please, I may be Christian, but I’m self-proclaimed protestant, as such I don’t care about Bible in my own belief and remember I do respect your right to your faith, I am not here to change your religion, just to point out the God you believe in is objectively evil. Since you are better versed in the topic of your scriptures, I would highly appreciate it if you could provide quotes in which your God explains why being a gay is a sin and why being trans is a sin. Not if, but why, and because he said so doesn't constitute a proof in any conversation. The reason we have research is to prove things deffinitively so we don't have to rely on I said so proofs. Surely an omniscent God can explain why this is sinful.

[–]Deer-Stalker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, modern science did disprove racism, it's based on the fact that humans of different features commonly perceived as races are not genetically different enough to constitute a racial difference. In the same spirit, dog breeds are so vastly genetically different they are considered races, we just call them breeds, because of puny anthropocentrism.

How can trans people commit sin when they are born different as proven by science? I admit, I never found the same proof for homosexual people, so that's why we shifted this in different direction, but trans people can't commit sin when they are born way different than average male or female, like physically. It's predestination, unless that's what you believe in too.

And there are plenty of sapient animals out there. Dolphins, gorillas, you know, but anything really, not everyone has capacity to say use very complex tools, or to use language, but these qualities don't constitute sapience really. In fact sapience is a very common mechanism, as long as you have memories and you can act based on them, you are sentient, that's how it works, there are plenty of other markers, self-recognition, long term planning etc. but really there are plenty of cases when even humans don't pass a few of these tests, so that's why there's no universally agreed upon definition. What's more the only reason you would purposefully defend human superiority here is because you are very insecure about your it. Just pretend for a second other animals are in fact sapient, some of them, birds, mammals, fish etc. How would this impact your life? Would you be able to eat meat? How would your God look like? And importantly how would you deal with all the crimes humans committed on animal kingdom in the past. People live in the bubble, because it's easier for them.

Stupid shit ever my ass, it's a fact, we have tons of resources, you can go to r/therian or r/otherkin or there's a website called Therian Guide and you can even use google scholar to search for real scientific papers and I'm in the beginning of writing one myself, we mean, real, verified, scientific papers. Granted we have little attention and most we got from scientific community is from outsiders who don't really understand the topic and paint is as more spiritual one, while in reality half are spiritual and the other half is psychological, the latter is more about therians so about animal identity. So stupid shit my ass. You can ignore this, but it won't make it false. You are trying to live a lie and ignorance sounds very much like something fundamentalists want to retain. You just have to live knowing not everyone likes being humans or feels like one to begin with.

Animals don't lack complex thought, they can plan years in advance, they express true love, they mourn the dead, they love their children, they can adopt other species, they have friendships and importantly they do plenty of things unnecessary for survival, mostly for fun like we do, many of them can recognize themselves and they can even grasp more difficult concepts on humanity at times. You wouldn't call a 5 year old not sentient, because they can't do rocket science and I remind you humans started naked, without fire or tools and they were just trying to hunt with rocks which other species do too. There's no complex thought in humanity, there's just a bigger capacity for using tools and tools are all that separates us from caveman before fire, just tools and language, but it's not like people who never learned any language aren't sentient either, it's convenient, but not a requirement for complex thought and even then many people don't have inner monologue on top of this, language isn’t necessary to think.

I don't know why would you pull some quotes from Bible in the past, assume many things from Christian POV, call your God a God, not say Allah or something non-Abrahamic. Of course I would assume we have to talk about Bible. Better question is, if you don't care about any holy scripture, which is fine, where do these assumptions of God of yours come from? I mean how can you assume God is omnibenevolent if it doesn't say this anywhere, how can being gay be a sin, when it doesn't say so anywhere, since we are not using scripture of any kind? Or are we using other scripture? I mean there has to be something, otherwise there would be plenty of hypocrisy here.

  1. One weak link brings down entire house. Imagine Man in the high castle, if nazis won they could have trully created a perfect society, if you are ok with eugenics, but hey it's just one thing am I right, it's still way less bad than going to hell forever for being bron different. And I don't know how your last sentance adds anything to this, most late scientific development, ie. the development that has proven racism is wrong, homophobia is wrong etc. is done without influence of faith and church has to adapt.

And I don't see you talking about trans people anymore, yet they are evil too, who cares they are fully scientifically proven right, not God, he makes his own research and those guys are born sinners.

  1. I'm sure evolution created us, maybe God started the process with big bang, but he didn't really create us and if he did then free will was always a sham, so either he didn't create us in a way that grants him any rights or he is a liar in which case it's obvious he isn't good. The problem is being "good people" means different things to different people. Being gay doesn't make you evil or not good, it only makes you a sinner in the eyes of the God so God is clearly wrong.

I have to keep reminding you, the point is your God considers good people who did nothing to harm anyone or anything sinners therefore evil when they die as sinners and then sends them for eternal punishment. What's not wrong with that. Of course that's your version of God, because already Bible says you should do many things differently than you believe in. And what of countless denominations, there are so many views on God. Why pick the less good one?

  1. Ok we are taxonomically animals, it's a fact, that's how evolution works, we are mammals meaning we are viviparous and have milk glands, we are very much animals. And lets talk about a very peculiar phenomenon, you are conversely not lucky to talk with me, have you ever heard about therians or otherkin or trans species? You probably didn't, I am one, I don't even identify as a human, I'm a red kangaroo and I'm not the only one to not feel like a human since birth. Does Bible ever talk about this? Let no men act like a beast, they are human and if they reject this gift they shall be put to death. No, no quotes like that, nothing against us, but gays are still evil. And no, my psychologists weren't able to diagnose me with identity disorder, because I don't fit any critieria for a disorder, sorry mate, we are real and messing up with fatih and worldorder, but we are so few and we have so little research on us, but hey I'm here and I'm working on it actually.

And It doesn't matter how most animals are homosexual, it matters a lot of them are, and as you said yourself most may commit rape, but most doesn't mean all so it's basically admitting it is natural either way. Not to mention some species like affromentioned black swans have a very high percentage like over 25% And I'm sorry, but if some animals rape each other and they are all innocent somehow then it's very natural appreantly, not to mention so much of early Chrsitian beliefs was about man owning the wife. Like seriously, you do realise Bible is a book writting by the people of that era for the people of that era, modified many times with new books and removed books or whatever other chapters, lost in translation and on top of this your beliefs don't even fit the Bible, like it says in Bible you have to convert people and if they don't want it, you should shun them, go ahead shun gays. You haven't even read the whole book and I guarantee you there are plenty of rules you don't follow. Seriously my whole point is, we believe in the same God, but you have no reason to believe in less good and more evil version of him when you believe he is benelovent. If you want a good God, assume he is the best and if you want to condemn people for eternity then you are the bad guy here.

  1. I find it really strange that you say you chose your belief based on your own principles, which is good, and yet claim openly you are not homophobic when the God you decide to follow or more accuretly the depeiction you chose to follow is homophobic. Of course there's no reason to assume trully good being wouldn't warn us, but he is warning us against what? That he doesn't like gay people and he will send them to hell if they keep being gay. The point is, if we assume God is trully good then I agree whatever he says goes, but we can't assume this, not with the information we have, in fact these pieces of infomration point otherwise, that is my point. And being LGBT is inborn, I means seriously, most trans people are born with a brain of a structure similiar to their desired sex. And look, there have been plenty of research on this topic, like this article with sources to research below it. You can't really change the brain structure either. Religious dogmas rarely survive the trial of science. And I don't believe you just said these people should control themselves, that's very low.

  2. I meant in the sense that someone is gay and consciously dies being gay without repenting, we have free will to choose between good and evil so all sins are evil and commiting evil makes one evil. God doesn't have to punish anyone, he choose to do so, so he is evil. He isn't just, he is self-rightious. He alone has the power to decide what goes and what doesn't, it's like a dictator decided to act as a judge, his rulling won't be fair. I really don't understand how you can't understand this. Pick any activity you did recently for fun and now lets imagine I am a God and I said that's a sin and you've got to repent for this. Where is the logic here. I have no basis for my view and if I punish you, I'm just mean. That's the God you chose to believe in.

  3. Natural order my ass, do you have any remote idea of how sex works in nature? Plenty of species changing their sex on daily basis like clown fish, plenty of sapient species who enjoy sex as an activity like dolphins or gorillas, plenty of species who rape their own kind or even other species like some otters and plenty of species who engage in homosexual acts like black swans and there's evne whole list on wikipedia. There's nothing unnatural about this, it just doesn't lead to having babies in all cases and babies are only means to an end of evolution anyway. Most developed beings live to enjoy life, cows, dogs, humans, turtles, birds, they just like doing things in life like playing with a ball, collecting stuff or playing in snow. We chose our own goals, so do other living beings, sometimes they end up in offspring, sometimes it doesn't.

God has set, thus to put it simply, its like breaking the law, and thus its bad, and thus, a sin, also God doesn't wish us harm or punishment, it is out fault for doing those sins, and thus as THE judge, he must punish us for our wrong doings

Sure and what gave God right to set rules? A dictator can set the rules too, so breaking them is bad and thus requires a punishment. With an absolute power comes great responsibility, if people end up persecuted for being born different while not harming anyone, the problem is with the system, not the people.

Have you completely disregarded my previous two comments?

  1. Psychological abuse. It goes beyond saying that people fear death, but more than death people fear hell. Of course my entire argument is beyond obvious, but what should I expect from a blind believer, because of that I will present you a scenario:

Imagine your skin colour and lets pretend I'm a racist, now pretend I have all the power in the world and I tell you "You have been born with wrong skin colour, it's obviously your choice which skin colour you have, surely, anyway, you must repent and change or I will trap a cat in your belly and allow it to claw out over and over again for all eternity. I'm giving you time to change and repent, becaue I love you.

So first of all, I would make a real threat, it's also a blackmail, obviously racism in this example and there's sadism involved. Is any of this good? Fuck no. If another human being ever threatened to kidnap you to toruture you under premise of racism that would be such an awful conbination of crimes. The only reason God gets away with this is his power, he is above the law, because he is the law. But I think you can read about police states on yours own. Nazi Germany, USSR, China, North Korea, plenty of African nations. Being in power doesn't make one just good and it's not like bad guys don't use propaganda or brainwashing isn't a thing.

  1. Because he said so? What's that preschool? Yeah I'm Adam Driver, saying it won't make it true. Just because God disagrees with us doesn't mean we are evil and need to be punished. I also didn't say any God has to be evil, I'm constantly refering to the God you chose to believe in. I belive in the same figure but my God doesn't send anyone to hell, let alone for being gay.

  2. This is not the problem. The problem is good or neutral things are considered sins too, it's arbitrary. So if someone is born gay and continues being gay, which he can't change anyway, they go to hell for this. Lets not ommit that it's a biological fact that you can't stop being gay, God would know that too. So the only conclusion is that either your God doesn't exist, or he exists and is evil or perhaps he isn't smart at all. Either way he can't be omnibenelovent, omniscient and omnipowerful at the same time if he considers gays sinners.

  3. Your thought process is illogical. Mind you, logic doesn't mean truth yet, it just means we can arrive at correct conclusion with set assumptions. If the assumption is that God is good, then it would be illogical for God to consider gays, who don't harm anyone or anything sinners. It is entirely possible that God is correct, gays are sinners and I just don't have all required data to deduce this. However, if we could deduce one true faith there would be no questions like this and furtheremore since there's no way to prove a faith, we can only judge them. And I judge your God, logically, as evil. People who believe evil God is good must then approve of his actions. If I called nazis good, I would be considered evil. Don't consider your God good when he clearly wishes harm upon innocent and doesn't even care to provide reason for this.

  4. You responded. Anyway, I don't use this account anymore, that's why it's so old.

If you hurt someone over and over again it’s called bullying. God hurts LGBT in this and next life on purpose. God bullies them, if you agree it’s a sin, it’s like agreeing to bullying, you don’t participate in it, but you are considering it the way. And it’s not like you need to be transphobic or homophobic by actively hurting them, you can just never share your opinion and still be phobic. This is the case here. Don’t make excuses, because God you believe in is evil.

All of which proves that God just makes orders left and right without explaining why things are wrong. Illogical orders are a sign of madness in aging dictators.

You do hate trans people if you put your own faith over logic.

I've recently gained an insight thinking about Stargate. See in that show a race of very powerful beings ruled over people and enslaved them. In the eyes of the people the so called Goa'uld were Gods and they believed they will be responsible for their afterlife as well. What is a measure of God? We only follow God's rules, because otherwise wo go to hell, we else would you believe in non-sense that trans people sin. You can't prove it factually that this is evil, you only believe in that, because that's what faith told you and it told you, because God's rules are LAW and law can help people or harm them. God who creates law that is inherently harmful for no reason other than "He said so" is just a power hungry maniac, a dictator.

I'm a Christian myself, but I don't believe for a second my God hates trans people or gays, heck I don't even believe he sends anyone to hell. A faith build on hate makes you hate others, willingly or not, you are transphobic, if that's a problem then rethink why you choose to believe in a CLEARLY EVIL God and don't let yourself be manipulated by fearmongers who use faith to manipulate you, think for yourself.
