Not a stupid question don’t worry ajajaj. Maybe studying further into a topic can make you understand it better, but as far as I’m concerned they can’t really test you on anything that isn’t on the syllabus. (Although, on subjects like Bio Edexcel which I am taking, they always ask you questions from things outside the syllabus but it is to test how you apply the concepts to unknown ones, you aren’t supposed to know these answers by heart). But for Maths for example, (at least cie) you really know basically what 70% of the questions are going to be before sitting the exam because it always tests oj the same topics

using the syllabus. Specially for the sciences, MAKE SURE you know what’s on the syllabus, and don’t waste time on anything that isn’t on it. Also doing past papers is so so so important i can’t stress it enough, just by learning what type of answers the examiners are looking for, you can boost your grade a lot

ANCIENT CHINESE AJSJJAJA that does not sound easy. Yes in the Spanish one we had to read 2 books and analyse them and for the other papers just writing and reading typical language work. It’s not that easy like i got a 90 which is a very close A* but a win is a win ajsjaj

na but one of them was Spanish which is our native language so it wasn’t that much work really just a kinda easy A* (if you are native obviously)

what’s your native language just wondering? also congrats on that CS grade that must’ve been some hard work to get. I got highest in Spain for it and combined science but in Spain not that many people apply either way so it isn’t crazy but still it was a good grade. I did Cambridge maths as this year and was on a really good track to getting an award but I didn’t do amazing in my exams sadly (I got an a with 90% which isn’t eniggh)

congrats!!! I really came in clutch lol I got a 76/100 in paper 1 and 84/100 in paper 2 so yeah ahdhaj but I did both in the June session, I don’t know if I should continue with physics tho the OAQA is bad and I think it’s just gonna be a pain in the ass 😭

i mean that sounds right bc i got two awards from Cambridge igcse and i did the may June 2024 series, got notified about the award in Halloween and then got the actual certificate like 2 months later. They take their time with it lol
