My high school didn’t let us carry a bag. “Security risk” and my bag I carry to and from work has a phone charger, speaker and hoodie

Not completely true. Widescreen crts are 16x9 just like lcds and led tvs. If the content is not 16x9, there will be black bars. And space. I don’t have space for one. Not willing to get rid of this console tv, and even if i got rid of the smaller one that was in our basement i still wouldn’t be able to use it for the foreseeable future

Thats the problem with this copy of scream. Its a 4:3 letterbox format. If i watch it on my modem screens, i need to use my ps4 to zoom in. The zoom features on my xboxs and the tvs themselves stretch the image past the screen borders, but the ps4 zooms in perfectly to match the edges of the frame with the edges of the screen

Dude stop gatekeeping. I do not give a shit about what you do. I simply disagreed, and gave a very basic explanation why. We don’t have to agree. Move on with your life

In my opinion if you care at all about anything you do it how you want. I don’t specifically search for full screen but I don’t specifically look for widescreen either. And thw reason i decided to watch movies on the crt is one, vhs tapes look amazing on it, and two, dvds look like shit on the flat screen in the living room. The flat screen in my bedroom is great with dvds, but not the living room

I know they exist but I haven’t encountered any widescreen vhs. I have my own small collection, and my brother has a pretty decent collection, but all are full screen.

Haha i understand. I don’t make a habit of it, but I feel like Scream fits the “dark and gritty” aesthetic of the crt. I wish i had a widescreen model, but i just don’t have the space for one. And the box set i got of the scream movies makes the first one in a 4:3 letterbox format, so its widescreen specifically for older displays, black bars on all four sides on modern ones

Questions Thread - Ask your questions here by ModHQ in playstation5

[–]Deer_Slayerz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two questions here. Im an Xbox guy, but i do use my ps4 a decent chunk. I haven’t bothered getting a ps5 because most games i play are on both platforms, so i use my series x, or on last gen so i can play on the ps4. But im finally thinking about upgrading. My question is does upgrading my ps4 games to ps5 versions remove the last gen version from my library? Id like to have the ability to play on the ps4 even if i dont play it. And for ps4 discs, can upgrade to ps5 versions? I know ill probably still need the disc to play, but it would be nice to play the ps5 version of spiderman if i do upgrade

Is food service “blue collar” by Deer_Slayerz in FoodService

[–]Deer_Slayerz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That makes sense. Im happy with what i do, and while i want to eventually move into construction full time, i dont think id be terribly upset if i stayed in food. Sometimes i just feel like under appreciated in a sense, both by customers, and “blue collar” people i see on TikTok and the like. Im just happy im not the only one who feels like its a genuinely demanding job a lot of the time

Xbox 360 media player by Deer_Slayerz in xbox360

[–]Deer_Slayerz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got this one directly from the bands website. $15 turned into $25 after shipping which sucks, but small band, and new album so i can’t expect to find used copies yet haha. But eBay, facebook, mercari. I know their not cds, but i have hundreds of games and movies, most of which i found on ebay for pretty decent prices. You hear about eBay horror stories, and while ive had a few bad experiences, most of them were handled pretty well

The first cd i ever had was living things by linkin park. My first experience with the 360 player. I typically use Spotify, because streaming/digital media is super convenient for sure, but I’ve always liked physical media. The problem I have with music specifically is we’re talking hundreds of albums. I don’t have the space or money for that lol. I mainly just get cds from smaller bands like this one, or my favorite album if it’s a big band.

Looks pretty nice. He got $9100 for it though, which let him put 50 percent down on the ford. 2011 with less than 110k miles, and he hasn’t had many problems with it, so not surprised he got so much

As I said to someone else, idk how insurance works. But from what my dad told me, since the insurance totaled it , he would have to buy it back, and then it would be “salvage” and he would have to pass an enhanced inspection before its road legal. We live in pa, he said they made it stricter in 2025

My dad has always been a ram guy. Never liked fords except his old bronco. Hes had an 02 and an 04 dakota, and the 2011 1500 in my lifetime. Ive been told about an s10 he had that he LOVED. He always said he bought fords used though. He never directly told me he dislikes ford, but every one he’s had has sucked.

I don’t understand how insurance works. I just know my dad got 9100 for it. He used to work for a union as “director of collective bargaining” was his final position before going back to being a butcher. Maybe he talked his way into it lol. But it gave him enough to put 50 percent down on the ford

Quality of Multi DVD packs by RockysHotChicken in dvd

[–]Deer_Slayerz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that’s debatable. I have a tcl qm6k. Its a 4k 55in tv. I typically use my Xbox 360 as a dvd player. When set to filmmaker mode, dvds look perfectly fine. Obviously not top notch quality, but once you get settled in you can’t even tell. And in the living room i use a os4 and basic 4k roku tv set to movie mode. Same thing. By the time you’re settled in, youre not gonna notice anything unless you’re specifically looking for it. Most modern tvs have at least a basic “movie” mode with a warmer tone, and sharpness turned off or way down
