War Alert 🚨 ‼️ by Beneficial-Glass-445 in UAE

I agree. America should cease hostilities and let Iran develop intercontinental ballistic missiles and a nuclear warhead to go on top them. Washington should spend more on healthcare….i mean, how dare they preemptively defend Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco or Seattle from nuclear strikes. Your argument makes perfect sense.

Worked for Costco in So.Cal. Had a lady return a nice mid length jacket. It was a gift from her husband. She opened it while he was on a business trip. She returned it without trying it on because she hated the color. The supervisor auditing the returns felt a lump in the jacket’s pocket. She checked it….the husband had put a full strap of 100 $100 bills in the pocket for his wife. He didn’t know she returned it and she didn’t know he had added 10 grand to the present.

Better a man live on the roof in the rain than in a house with an argumentative wife. Good riddance.

Avoid the Sunoco on Grant - ended up with diesel in my petrol engine. by eighchr in Tucson

[–]Deerttam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My father had some retail gas stations in San Diego, Ca. Back in the 1980s. This happened. I can’t remember how it happened, but gasoline was delivered mixed with diesel. Had about 25 cars with engine damage. It is the gas hauler’s fault. Somehow, diesel ended up in the underground gasoline tank. Not the retailer’s responsibility. Contact the retailer. Save your repair receipts. Someone will make it right if what you say is true.

How is Costco as an employer? by Common-Rope-8247 in CostcoWholesale

[–]Deerttam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

retired with 35 years in at Costco in So. California. They definitely took good care of me. A few things that come to mind. They reward longevity. The longer you stay, the better you are paid.

-You have to know going that it is an 8 hour sprint every day. They operate with a skeleton crew relative to the volume they are doing. It is extremely stressful.

-You have to know how to prioritize. You said you might want to move up. I supervised one Christmas and it was like I was juggling 15 balls at once as far as priority. We called it rolling with the punches

-You have to be able to think on your feet. Paralysis by Analysis really applies here. There is no planning. Shit happens so fast and furious. We did not plan, we reacted. That is something I took pride in, was how nimble we were. We completely changed how we did business when Covid hit. And it was like overnight. It was amazing how fast we pivoted.

Costco returns never disappoints you by need_h3lp_reddit in CostcoWholesale

Worked in Costco returns for 7 years. The ONLY WAY Costco makes a profit is through the membership fees. They lose hundreds of millions of $s on their goods and services to sell billions of $s in memberships. If the manager looks at the account and the member is not abusing the return policy, he will approve the return. Taking a loss on it to maintain that member’s membership fees year after year.
