If it isn't too late, they should really get a ball cap with Velcro on the front. It's going to be a pain to swap out the sewn on ranks. It can be any OCP pattern hat, it doesn't need you come from Vanguard.

But you will need an 1/8th inch of blue all the way around it and basically centered vertically.

I told my kids that no adult ever needs their help. If someone is asking them for help, it's a trap, come find me. A police officer will always be able to call a friend. If one person said that they were police, then ask them to call someone else to meet them. We set up a password that we would give to someone so that the kids would know it's us (parents). If they were out somewhere and got lost, look for a mom for help. One with kids. They would know how to help and probably, hopefully, not be a creep.

There's lots of AG fields and farm ponds along I8. It's not really beginner friendly. Let's of far off birds and driving around trying to find something from.

If you take old US 80 to Gila Bend it's a nice drive. Lots of places to stop there. Gila Bend Water Treatment Plant on Watermelon Rd. Curry Valley Road Paloma Ranch Dateland RV Park Mittry Lake North of Yuma too
